  • First Fidelity Trust - I'm Fed Up!!!

OK so for the last year I constantly get junk mail from first fidelity trust sportsbook sending me brochures. It doesn't phase me and I just toss it in the garbage along with the other mail made out to the same wrong name from some "discount" sportsbook and from NASA. I never posted anything about it because I just take it as a consequence of being involved in this industry.

But today was the last straw. In the middle of an important meeting I get a call from someone who says they are looking for Harley Gol. I reply "I believe you're looking for me." Then the woman says, "great my boss wants to speak to you."

On the phone this guy says that he's from first fidelity trust and starts talking about the sportsbook. I reply with "where did you get this number?" and he refuses to answer.

    I then answer
"I get your brochures and I'm not interested. I already have books I deal with and I don't need any more."

The guy yells back "which books are those?"

I tell him it's none of his business and hang up.

Has anyone heard of such gall? I never had any interest in dealing with this place but even if I considered it they can be assured that is over now.

Has anyone been called or solicited by this book? I'm dying to find out where they could have gotten my number. Maybe if everyone who has had this problem responds we can find a common link and see who has access to all our names in a database and is selling the info.

    I am not impressed!!

Isn't this the place that advertises a 40 or 50% bonus?? I'm amazed that they're still around.

My guess is someone who used to work at one of your sportsbooks stole a list and now works at First Fidelity. I contantly get calls from Diamond and it really is a shame that books resort to this. Imagine cris or olympic begging you to send funds to them LOL. Makes you think how cash poor this industry really is....

            Hartley,
As you know, First Fidelity is either owned by or in bed with Jim Feist. Anytime you call one of his scorephones or request a free schedule, he gets a report of this through his telephone switch. Anytime you call an 800 number, somebody is getting information on you including your name and phone number and usually your address as well. Some of the largest sportsbooks and tout services were built on this kind of marketing. Even though you are an expert in the field now, there was probably a time when you were wet behind the ears and gave Feist a call(or one of his services).

I never called Jim Feist but I may have called a different number once. Regardless IMO this type of "marketing" is shameless.

              Thanks for the tip.

If you have ever called a Feist company phone of any kind your number will appear on their phone bill. They will call you. I get about 10 a week from them.
