I’ve been a big fan of the gravity-defying bosoms of the Imperial Palace cocktail waitresses since the first time I ever went to Vegas. Highly recommended.

zippy: Vegas has a shuttle these days and it is my recommendation if you stay d'town vs. walking your legs off. Matter of fact, you can stay outside the strip, save bucks, drive in, park in back of Caesers, and shuttle everywhere.

If you pick your time, Vegas is still a cheap town.

BTW, Railbird's right, food's crap unless you go into one of the highroller restaurants. I'd get out into the burbs and eat where the locals eat...down towards Sunset Station is good.

Go to Paris sportsbook, not to crowded & waitress staff is smoking hot.

The standard rooms at TI are just OK. Like old holiday inn rooms. But you won't spend much time in the room. If you stay there go to the "nice" restaurant, next to the chapel and order the prime rib. Make sure to ask for the special horseradish sauce. Damn good stuff.

Mandalay Bay is my favorite sports book now. (Site of the old Hacienda). Classy place and it smells like exotic coconut oil everywhere you go in there. As far as the second hand smoke, I find it thrifty, plus it keeps your hands free.

            A couple of suggestions:

Eat at California Pizza Kitchen in the Mirage - right next to Sportsbook so you can watch the games - I recommend the BBQ Chicken Salad

Why walk when you can ride a monorail:
            Bally's to/from MGM
            Bellagio to/from Monte Carlo
            Excaliber to/from Mandalay Bay

I agree with staying on the "newer" end of the stip (TI, Mirage, Bellagio, Paris or further down Luxor, Mandalay Bay) and not downtown - You may go downtown for a day but that will be about it.....

If you are looking for a show - I would recommend Mystere - Cirque Du Soleil at Treasure Island - You need to get tickets in advance and I would try to sit in a row close to "G" - eye level (if I recall)

Oh yea, there is some large Dam out there that I hear is pretty impressive - I have yet to see it in person

The sunday brunch buffet at the Bellagio is awesome (shrimp, sushi, roast beef, pasta, oysters, you name it). Arrive around 1:30 Pm (on Sundays )and you'll have a 5 minute wait compared to the 45 minutes some are willing to put up with during peak times.
Speaking from a younger man's perspective... The HardRock Hotel is the place to be when the sun goes down. Its a club type atmosphere, the tables have great vibes and the waitresses are about as curvacious as they come. Dress as if going to a dance club and you'll fit right in. Have fun. I may be there myself.
