Let me start by saying I received my Western Union payout from ABETZ today David made a point of speaking to me personally, and explained the situation that resulted in the delayed payment of funds. Although a lot of the banking complexities are lost on me, the bottom line seems to be that David is weathering the storm, taking care of business, and should come out of this brief setback stronger than ever.
My aim throughout has been to alert others that an individual offshore book was failing to make timely payouts, and I would not hesitate to take the same route again with any outlet, should the situation arise. I firmly believe there are too many bettors that feel lucky or privileged to receive prompt payment from offshore books, when in fact it is the book that should feel privileged to have the clients trust and business, and foster it accordingly. This mindset is what fueled my initial reaction, along with the lack of any explanation from the source as to whatever the problem was. Hopefully both sides have learned how to better handle any future snafus should they arise.
In my mind, David has proven to be a stand-up guy, and ABETZ is once again a book that I am pleased to support with my patronage.
