In another thread, I noted how slow Aces was on weekends. (in fact, last weekend there was no access pregame on Sunday at all)
You can read the following e-mails if you have an interest but the main issue here is privacy.
Aces has yet to tell me how they got my name from BW. Bettorsworld e-mailed me saying it is not their policy to release such information (and I believe them), but you can see Aces explanation, to-date is lame as how did they connect azbob to my real name???
This, I think, has some impact on posters ability to truthfully relate service, speed, courtesy, etc of various books to BW readers. I think this was/is one of the main benefits of the site.
Does it create a chilling effect on what is said here if the book will know exactly who you are?
I invite aces to respond in the thread so I, and everyone else, will know what means they employ to identify posters who might make note of their ability to serve their customers.
HERE'S THE FIRST E-MAIL I RECEIVED:
Good Afternoon Mr X Acct #,
(NOTE: My name and acct # was listed above)
Regarding your most recent thread to Bettorsworld: We are truly
disheartened that you chose to air the issues that you have with Aces
Gold through a public forum BEFORE giving us the opportunity to address
them.
While it is true that there are occasional slow downs in our system
during peak times, we are constantly monitoring our site and working on
ways to improve the speed and accessibility of our site.
We also have thousands of customers who have NO such issues or problems
with our site.
If you would give us a call at 1-800-256-7157, we will have you talk to
a member of our Technical Support Staff and maybe help find a solution
to your problems with our site.
If, on the other hand, as you suggest in your thread, we are at strike
three, and would like to close your account, please let us know how you
would like for us to send you your money.
Sincerely,
Mark

wondering how you got my name? would appreciate a reply on that issue
do you mind if i post your note at BW?
Sorry you are "disheartened" but the purpose of the threads is to relate
personal experience to others. I don't feel any compulsion to call you
since this is an ongoing problem, previously posted in the threads, that
I already have talked to your staff about.

I e-mailed them back with the obvious question of how did they connect azbob to my real name/account at Aces since I don't use that moniker there. They have yet to reply.
