Thanks jeff - I see your point. That is the great benefit of sites such as this, it gives the players unprecedented information and keeps the good books on their toes and the bad books out in the cold. I was just trying to get you to dish a little dirt on the bad ones. (sorry).
Many sportsbooks make large investments during the summer in order to prepare for the football season. They increment bandwidth, buy more computers and hire more clerks. These past 8 weeks haven't been a good season, even if you won or broke even. And I should also add that the baseball playoffs haven't helped one bit. From my point of view, in February we are going to have many surprises. It's not easy as it used to be because of all the competition, especially if you are trying to make a name for your new Sportsbook. First you have to gain your players trust, and then you have to bring in the money (which is quite expensive nowadays). Finally, after you brought in the money, you have to earn it. The problem is that with these scores, the situation is to cry for.
As my friend said, "These past 8 weeks we have been working for nothing
I agree. Some of my "sucker" friends, who basically bet on the Public Teams and the Overs are having their best (only!!) winning season in years. Meanwhile, anti- public players (moi) are getting their clocks shined like the Books! In the long run, it's good to be on the side of the books, but so far it's been painful in the NFL. Hopefully it WILL even out.
In now way will this situation continue as the teams are reverting to norm even as we speak. The last great square year ('98) also beat up the books and they recouped in early '99.
Put your bucks with the big boys as the only books we'll lose are the weak sisters - and we need to lose 'em anyway.
I think most of us small players are not worried about how quickly a book can send us a check, we are going to keep a balance with them if we trust them. We are mainly concerned that the book does not mysteriously go out of business after the Super Bowl, and blame the authorities. I guess longevity is the only thing to go on.

If you're a little nervous, then my mission is accomplished.
One of the reasons for passing this along, it to keep players on their toes.
Do you're homework. Ask a million questions of a million different people.
Don't take any one persons or websites word as the gospel.
The most important people to get your information from, are your fellow players. How long have they been playing at xyz? How long has xyz been around? How fast are the payouts? Have their ever been any problems?
There are a slew of choices for the players out there, and choosing a sportsbook is no different than investing in a mutual fund.
There is a degree of risk involved posting up with ANY sportsbook. Some more than others. Anyone that tells you otherwise is a liar, plain and simple.
We do our best here on this site to promote the best this industry has to offer.
However we're not going to get up on a soap box and preach.
I am still yet to be stiffed, and I've played offshore roughly 10 years.......but then, I'm not willing to post up with Billy Bobs Sportsbook, just because Billy Bob has weak numbers and never moves his lines.

A sports book that has been around for over 35 years and with approximately 80% of it's business concentrated on horse wagering in Australian and Asian Horse Racing is the security that nervous sports bettors need. This book is not only solid because it has been around for a long time. It is also solid because There will never be enough customers in the world to or losing weeks in sports to put it out of business.
For all you nervous bettors, the book I am reffering to is Darwin Allsports. Visit us at wwww.betthe.net, or call us toll free from USA 1-877-846-9854 or from Canada at 1-877-528-7083.
You just might win a free 13 day trip to Australia along with your other winnings.
