Has anyone else heard about ePayment Solutions going into liquidation? It may be just a rumour ....

Carib just confirmed that EPS is out of business. It also seems that the books got screwed for a lot of money.

      Hi Jeff. Thanks for this.

Is this really true? I called their London office and got a reply...can't get a straight answer though.

Have you seen a press release?

I was told that EPS is not processing the refunds, and keeping the money. I tried to get a refund on my CC, and it never went through. I was reimbursed by the book though.

Let's hope this doesn't cause any books to fail. I'd imagine that some smaller ones would be affected, trying to get their players paid while being stiffed by EPS.

What books are affected by this? Anyone got a list?

The English guy's name is supposedly Tony Brown. He is up to his neck in trouble. The figures I hear are from anywhere aroung 8 million to 20 million. NASA supposedly is buried and I hear that NASA is slow pay because of this. I personally don't blame NASA for this. I think the indusrty as a whole should take a good look at charge cards. This business is all numbers and the percentages on both sides are huge.

                Max,

Can you please elaborate on this situation, its implications to the security of the public's wagering funds. With reports of no pay and slow pay books increasing by the day, the public should be really careful where they put their money.

So is this a problem of frozen assets or what? How could they screw this up? A banking situation like this any money the credit card companies have frozen has to eventually be released to the sports books. Refunds that didn't go thru should be subtracted from the frozen amounts.

It does explain why some books changed to Firecash a while back.

I believe WSEX and Olympic both used eps. At least it showed that on past credit card transactions.

Olympic has moved to Firecash. They had epayment at one time. I requested a credit back on Tuesday and they said they had to send a check or W.U. because they no longer deal with Epayment. I got my check Wed. morning. I'm very pleased with Olympic once again.
