Some months ago, when the US soccer team came to Costa Rica for a World Cup Qualifying match and got beat, there were some comments made here, on Bettorsworld, stating that Costaricans were the scum of the earth and that the US got cheated out of a win. One member of this forum, Segundo, went as far as to make the threat that he would fly to Columbus OH to throw coins and empty bottles at the Costarican players when the time came for CR to play the US in Ohio. Well, today is the day.
The purpose of my post is not to instigate violence but to promote Fair Play. Let us try to enjoy the match and cheer for our team and not against our opponent. Football, or as americans call it, Soccer, is a sport of passion. It's as close to art as a sport can get and raises many emotions; let's hope the we can control them and not be blinded, like some people were after the game in San Jose many months ago. I'm sure it will be a great spectacle and will make a whole country in central america stop for 105 minutes and dream!!!
