the more I think about it.....think of all the promotions that somelike WWTS could run for Stardust or Ceasars. Post-up $1,000 and get a three night stay at the Stardust for $199 (including airfare). WWTS wouldn't have to pay bonus money to new posters and Ceasars or Stardust would have another 2-3,000 people in their casinos each year. I'm sure there would be a lot of problems that would have to be worked out but it seems the synergy could be unbeivable if it hits right.

If it wasn't for California, Vegas would not exist. I think there is validity in Mr. Rosenthal's prediction. However, there would have to be significant law changes before any Native tribes can become competitive with Vegas. 50 cents to a dollar per hand for blackjack is an example. Or maybe you prefer California blackjack (22). I wouldn't set foot in one of these places. Anyway, it doesn't look like anything is happening here soon.

Jeff, just read your post. You must be in Ct., grew up there myself. Anyway, you may be right about sportsbooks being a joke and being finished. But, I'm in the small minority that can't fathom being in Vegas on a Saturday without college football on the board. I'm aware my absence will be replaced by the suckers playing the slot machines taking up the space where the book used to be. anyway, my point is when Vegas loses books they're just one step closer to being like everyone else and making Mr. rosenthals prediction a reality. Anyway, that Disneyland thing isn't really true, that's a joke, no one goes to Vegas to enjoy that type of thing. At best, its an excuse to bring someone's kids along.

          Yep. CT it is..........

I agree, that without the books in Vegas, something will be "missing".

But on the DisneyLand thing, I guess I'm just speaking for myself.

I've always tried to make casino gambling secondary to the real reason I'm in Vegas, A/C or any other casino.

I love to shoot craps as much as the next guy. But I would never go JUST to shoot craps.

I realize I'm in the minority on that one......

I may go to Vegas to see a fight for example. The main reason I'm there, is the fight. Gambling is secondary....
