  • Questions here for Neteller...

    1. What does it cost each book to make a transaction since it is free for the player?

    2. What other companies besides sportsbooks fo you have signed up?

    3. If there are no other merchants besides books then what is the legality of your business? Would this not be aiding and abetting an illegal business?

    4. In your terms of agreement in section 2-16 you say that you are not subject to any banking regulations. How can this be possible? You don't answer to any higher authority?

    5. Where are the funds held that I have on my card? A bank account? Which country? If they are held in a bank account then why would they not be insured?

    6. Why would you put at the end of your terms that you can change the agreement at any time without any cause? You WOULD make it public if you made any changes, would you not?

I will have more questions later, I thought this might be a good spot for people to learn about your service, sounds like a great idea. Hopefully other people will have better questions than mine, don't feel obligated to answer this, just thought I might help ease the Q&A process because everytime I call your customer service # it is busy.

    I have one more question.

How much involvement does Unified gaming have with NetTeller?

Those are some good questions but I've never seen any posts from Neteller here. Here's what I know. They are located in Alberta, Canada. A bank check I received from them was from Royal Bank of Canada. As far as I know, their only merchants are sportsbooks. They told me nothing gets reported.

Segundo, those are good questions, and I hope someone from NETeller comes here to address them. They do have a user forum on their website, but it would be nice to see the posts here.

Users deserve to know all the details, if they are going to place their funds in the hands of NETeller.

I forwarded these questions to NETeller.....here are their answers.

1.What does it cost each book to make a transaction since it is free for the player?

NETeller Merchant Services fees are a matter between NETeller and our Merchants. Being a matter of business for our Merchants we feel that it would be more appropriate for that information to be provided by your merchant, if they wish to provide it, than by us.
            2. What other companies besides sportsbooks fo you have signed up?
We have private business to business accounts whereby corporations settle recurring trade accounts between themselves via the NETeller system of money transfer.
            3. If there are no other merchants besides books then what is the legality of your business? Would this not be aiding and abetting an illegal business?
Offshore virtual gaming sites are not an illegal business. In any event, NETeller is an online money transfer business and has no stake in the Off shore gaming industry.
            4. In your terms of agreement in section 2-16 you say that you are not subject to any banking regulations. How can this be possible? You don't answer to any higher authority?
Conventional money transfer businesses are not subject to the banking regulatory regime. NETeller does not apply funds on deposit to other purposes, for example, we do not lend your money for interest. The “higher authority” to which NETeller is beholden is the good reputation of NETeller among its Merchants and account holders.
            5. Where are the funds held that I have on my card? A bank account? Which country? If they are held in a bank account then why would they not be insured?
NETeller is an innovative highly efficient money transfer system. It utilizes conventional banking systems as part of its process including in Canada and Britain.
            6. Why would you put at the end of your terms that you can change the agreement at any time without any cause? You WOULD make it public if you made any changes, would you not?
The NETeller terms of service would not be arbitrarily changed without notice. NETeller’s reliability is the core of its business success.
I will have more questions later, I thought this might be a good spot for people to learn about your service, sounds like a great idea. Hopefully other people will have better questions than mine, don't feel obligated to answer this, just thought I might help ease the Q&A process because everytime I call your customer service # it is busy.
The NETeller customer service number never rings busy. We are often engaged in customer service calls and at times callers must wait on hold. We encourage you to utilize email as well.
