This is a new trend in the offshore book business. Larger books buying smaller books. Instead of spending 300k or more per year on the chance of getting new clients, it's easier to just buy an established book with clients in hand. When I first heard they were shutting down, I knew someone was going to offer to pay the bills and take over. It's just good business.

This is good for the players. If a book that is well established, with a decent client base, happens to run into financial difficulty, there's an excellent chance a larger book will be there to step in and take over existing accounts in some fashion.

I talked to DoggieStyle a couple of months ago, and he made the point that if any of the Don Best Premium Service books wants to close its doors for whatever reason, someone will be eager to step in and take over. I agree with him.
