I know that Olympic is great but.......

I have been using Olympic for about 6 months now and I have had no complaints .... until yesterday. I tried to call in my bets 30 minutes before kickoff and was never able to get through. I tried for 20 minutes and finally had to give up since I missed kickoff. Is Olympic able to handle phone wagers or are they just an internet book. Either way I was disappointed.

Curious to hear if anyone else had a problem.

Kapper, I quit playing at Olympic a long while back because of constant busy signals at crunch time. They are the only Don Best book that has given me that problem. Apparently, the problem has not been completely remedied.

It's a good idea to find out the local phone number at any book you use. If you don't mind paying for the call, you can usually get through a lot easier at crunch time.

That's bizarre. Olympic's one of three books I use the most and I've NEVER had a problem getting through. I wonder if where you're calling from has anything to do with it. I'm in So. Cal.

Although Olympic is one of the best books, there phone service is consitently terrible at crunch time. Call up customer service and ask for two or three alternate numbers. Hopefully you should get through, and in the past, I programmed all their different numbers on speed dial amd was able to get in that way.

I love Olympic's betting options but do hate the phone system busy at peak times and whether it is peak or not the operators can be very unpleasant and always seem to be juggling the phone.But the good makes up for the bad and that good is SPIRO....
