  • Offshore Internet Access Today

Can everyone post re: internet speed for your offshores. I think this would be useful to determine which books can handle the gameday volume and which can't.

Millenium was down for awhile last night but, when they are up, their server is fast.

Aces was down all morning...haven't tried lately. I called and they said, "we're working on it."

Had problems w/AcesGold all afternoon. Finally got in around 3:15pm, but it was still very slow. Intertops was slow at times, but was able to get everything in on time.

Yesterday we had a problem due to an ISP in the Phoenix area. Many of the offshore books have the same satellite telecommunications provider and when the provider has a problem, it effects several offshore books. Our internet link was down most of the evening but it is now up and funtioning normal.

Anytime there is an internet problem we urge our customers to phone in their wagers even if the wager amount is below our $50 minimum.

Sorry for any inconvienence this may have caused.

i'm a big fan of grand central but i think many of the books spent alot more time and thought on marketing rather than capacity and back-up systems...let's hope for the best today with the expectation of no problems starting next week

What a disaster today is/was no island express I called them around 11am to ask why the IE service was not working and was rudely hung up on and told to e-mail them about the problem YEA RIGHT !! I'LL GET RIGHT ON THAT so I can get a form letter response.

With over 20 outs ...I can hardly name a sportsbook that I placed a bet in with after 12 noon . I agree with Azbob more $ should be spent on this ....

These last 2 days have been well in 2 words absolutely horrific.

I agree marketing became the name of the game as more and more books are fighting for business.

Here is some reports for Saturday and Sunday....

                    DUNES

No issues period, no glitches, very speedy even during the peak crunch time. Great Job Dunes !!!!

Grade A # 1 site of the weekend.

                    Premiere League-

Was slow most of Saturday morning before Noon kickoffs, but was ok after that.

No problems on Sunday period, smooth sailing.

                    Overall grade B

                    Gameday

Was in great shape on Saturday and Sunday. No issues period.

                    Grade A

                    Sportsbook.com

Saturday and Sunday no issues and moved very quickly. Especially during crunch time.

                    Grade A

                    *****

Very very slow on saturday, took 5 minutes between bets if not longer. Suggest betting more than 1 play if at all possible during peak hours.

                    Sunday.....

                    No issues went very smooth.

                    Grade B-

                    5 dimes

Absolutely poor on both saturday and Sunday...

                    Grade F

                    Bet Eurosport

Slow on Saturday, 200% times better on Sunday, no issues overall except a tad slow on Saturday

                    Grade B

                    Posttime

Total nightmare on Saturday morning, massive time outs and cant connect to server issues. Cleared up in the afternoon.

                    Sunday

Issues with verifying passowrds, timeouts, and server problems.

                    Grade D

Just what I can remember off top my head. There was more but could be here a while

i've had problems with millenium for
the past 2 weeks also, so I phoned my
bets in at 2am last night. to decrease
the traffic at high volume times, they
                        should offer decreased vig, like
105-100 instead of 110-100, at certain
low volume times like Tues, wed, 11pm to 9am,
etc. i got the 105-100 last night, but
they said it was for sun only.

I hate to be the one to break it to anybody here but right now most of the offshore guys are fighting for survival. Because there is no loyalty whatsoever among players, the operators have to market themselves more than ever. As I have said before, signup bonuses will be soon eliminated. Why does anyone deserve a signup bonus anyway? Think about that.

The reason for signup bounses is to:
1- to attract new customers. Many new books now, and customers are looking for the best bargain pot there. If they can attract a new customer the customer may be with them for life. Especially new books will offer great bounses to attract more clients.

was it for phone wagers only?
