Today's (8/30) sports section of USA Today has an interesting article on gambling as a way of life in Austratia, with a focus on the Olympic games.

Why is the USA behind other countries in legalizing sports betting? I hope the bill passes on banning college betting in Nevada. Then the money will really start to pour into the off-shore books. How many millions, billions, or maybe trillions of lost American dollars before the idiot politicians
get a brainstorm and legalize sports betting in the 50 states.

Mojo, the U.S. still can't shake its Puritan roots. Although I'm a firm believer in a Higher Power, the U.S. would be a far better place to live if secular humanism reigned supreme.
