Yes the M.G.M is using the same lines as the Mirage. They are no longer the Best place to play in Las Vegas. If fact they are using 15 cent baseball lines now. How cheap......

How did that happen? Didn't the M.G.M. buy the Mirage? Wouldn't the M.G.M. be the Line the others use? How did the Sports Book Manager at the Mirage become more important than the Book Manager they already have at the M.G.M.?

Vegas is strange.... loyalty means nothing...

Ronbets, the El Cortez is the ultimate time- warp casino. I walk in there and I feel like I'm two decades back in time.

You can always go to the Hotel Continental aka "The Big Ashtray". Wait, they plowed that abortion of a casino down, I think. Wait, I think Barbary Coast pays 550-1 instead of 500-1 on 10-team parlay cards, so all is not lost.

Vegas is all about entertainment, "family" getaways (that runaway train at the Excaliber is a doozy, especially after dining at the buffet), table games, nuerotic women boxes (slots), etc........If that's yer cup of tea, you'll have a fabulous time. Vegas is a wonderful experience, but not for the serious sportsbettor.

p.s.: The 5 cent craps table at The Horseshoe is loads of fun and, if 4:00 am rolls around, ya can't beat their $1.99 steak dinner.........

The Mirage has taken the stance that if 1 out of 100 people is beating them out of some money at the sportsbook then changes have to be made. No more 10 cent line, no more future win totals, no more division futures, no more WNBA futures(they did it for one year and lost money). They don't have a clue. Anybody know if Richie(MGM sportsbook director) will move to another book? He gives the player a fair shot.

This has been a very strange kind of takeover. One of the reasons why MGM was able to takeover Mirage was because of a low stock price. And one of the reasons for a low stock price is poor management. And no where was the management any poorer at the Mirage than in the Race and Sports Book. Instead of trying to attract customers they were doing their best to get rid of them.

So what doe MGM do when they takeover Mirage? You would think they would make their own head of race and sports in charge of the whole operation. His reputation and skill as a bookmaker seem to be well known to all. Instead the head of the Mirage is the one promoted. Go figure. I guess Las Vegas still is a juice town afterall.

I think the Mirage is the main book of them all. The M.G.M.'s book is nothing more than an extension of the Mirage's book.

No more dime lines in hockey......15 cent totals in baseball and hockey...15 cent run lines in baseball. It's over!
