I recently went into Game Day Sportsbook after reading about them here and learning about some of their specials that appealed to me. We all know that I love deals so this is no surprise to most of you.
I remembered hearing about them and researching them about a year ago when some friends told me of the ultra-fast payouts they received from them. Their small limits for baseball at that time (500 on totals and 1000 for sides) precluded me from posting up with them at that time.
While researching them this time around for football, I learned they take 5 dimes on sides, 2 dimes on totals, which was acceptable for me. So I started my research by talking to some of my buds in the biz that own sportsbooks in their region, Curacao.
Now I'd like to elaborate on Curacao for a bit here. As much as and maybe even more so than Antigua (when Ms. McAllister was in charge), Curacao has become the premiere destination for sportsbooks in my mind with regard to safety of funds, transfers among books and all-around cooperation among them.
Leaders from such ultra-solid sportbooks such as Sports Market, Pinnacle, Royal and others meet to discuss issues that affect them all and it's my belief they would never stand still for any slow-pay/no-pay shenanigans by any books residing there casting a blemish on them all.
With that in mind, I went into Game Day and liked what I've experienced thus far very much. Their customer service was very friendly, their software very strong, but most impressive so far was a situation that came up when there was a problem with some wagers I had made.
I don't want to go into details about the problem, but it was handled very very courteously, very very professionally and a remedy was offered that was mutually agreeable to myself and to them.
Again, I won't go into details, but I know through experience a book of lesser quality would have handled it in a much less tactful and classy way and would have lost me as a client.
I give Game Day a clean bill of health and commend them for their small limits on baseball even though I wasn't able to utilize them. I would much rather a book take smaller limits which ensure the winners will get paid than get in over their head and run the risk of financial ruin (which many have done in the past).
The consensus among my friends in Curacao is that Game Day is a good solid book, much smaller than the previous behemoths I've mentioned, but good as gold for the limits they do take. The scuttlebutt among some of my fellow gamblers out there is that their bank wires are among the fastest they've seen from anyone.
Bottom line, a very good recommendation for the small to average player and some incentives that are among the best.
