Why -3 -115

Hi folks simple question, why is there so many books going with a line of -3 -115?

Just throwing it out for conversation.

Since the number "3" is so valuable, it is just be a way to move the line without moving it a half point. Instead of offering +/- 3 at -110 odds, this line is shaded toward the favorite. If you want the favorite, you lay 115. If you want the dog, you should be able to get +3 at -105.

EVERYBODY HAD THE GAME PHI-3. BELIZE HAD IT
PHI-2.5-160.

It definitaly seems to be the industry standard now. It seems like this is kind of like the baseball 20 cent line.

Freak, it may be a fair line. You should be able to + 2.5 points at +140 odds.

I wonder if you could buy a half for 15 or 20 cents to 3 and take +3 +125 or +3 +120? I doubt it, but was just wondering.

This also allows the book to get 2 way action, by moving the money instead of the line and also prohibits them from getting middled on the game.
