  • Intertops discovers decimals

Now that will make a few people unhappy

  • #2
Haven't they allowed the option of decimal lines in "Account Configurations" for a while now? At least 2 years I think?

      No, not odds

I mean in paying people, they no longer are rounding to the 'nearest dollar' by some method.

Oh right. Yes I did notice that change in the last few days. I remember over a year ago when they changed their minimum bet from 5 to 6 presumably because a 5 unit wager paid back an even 10 units on a -110 line. I wonder why they didn't just change the balances to decimals right away ...

Don't know why they didn't PC, don't understand it, as unless they have done something bizarre, it would be changing some simple code - unless their was something horrible involved in their accounting procedures?

Even with minimum bets at 6 and how they had it 15 paid 14 etc.

They are removing the last vestiges of any reason to stay with them! Unless you want to bet on Survivor! I look for "uniqueness" in an out, and rounding up was the only positive left there.

There's numerous reasons why Intertops is a valuable out to have. For some it might be Survivor, but for someone like me it's got to be soccer. Intertops has one of the largest selections of soccer leagues on the planet. I kid you not.

In addition, they offer totals and Asian lines, the latter being a very rare commodity. To be honest there is not one other quality book that I know of which offers Asian lines online.

They also offer loads of unique betting options as well as sports which others refuse to book, and overall I have found them to be a great book to be with, especially in the last year. I only wish more books would take example of them and follow suit...

Cons, I was thinking more about N. American "meat and potato" sports betting. For soccer, and other international sports, you punters still have a reason to play to them - I guess.

as far as I have ever seen, Intertops often has different numbers on yank stuff

Come on Buckeye. Whether you like Itops or not you have to admit that they have a lot of bet offers including European Tour Golf (which I find great to watch on Sunday mornings on the golf channel), horse racing futures on almost every G1 horse race (U.S. and European), tennis odds on most tournaments, different NASCAR matchups from the norm, CART racing, F1 matchups etc. etc.

Plus while you may scoff at the limits (which I don't believe are all that bad), but you forget that most players don't come close to the limits. In fact, I'll bet there are at least 100 times as many $6 players as there are limit players. And name one other place you can bet $6 on straight wagers and futures.

                      AV2,
Only when you use the magic numbers ( 16, 7, etc. ). Otherwise they are pretty regular for most sports I track.

well, most American type odds are 'pretty regular' little variety

but you see half point differences there, money line differences, differences in baseball, hockey, etc., so that is what you want?

Hartley I can name several places where you can bet less than 6 dollars on straight wagers and futures

On the internet, no real reason for that high a minimum, either.

Buckeye did say he was talking about the major septic betting ones
