Hey all!
I had an unfortunate incident with MILLENNIUM a couple weeks ago and I wanted to hear everyone's take on the matter.
Basically, I wanted action on a Red Sox - A's game on a Saturday evening, 9:05pm game time. I wanted the A's side - action.
I called the betting line(s) 5 times between 8:45 and 9:10 to place the wager and the phone kept ringing and ringing and ringing. I had absolutely no idea what was going on. I called two different lines with no answer.
So I missed out on the game for an amount equivalent to my normal play. I was busy for awhile afterwards, so I ended up calling them back around 10:30 to find out what the heck was going on.
The betting line supervisor said that the company was in the middle of shooting a television commercial and that they had to take away about 180 clerks off the floor. He apologized and offered me a free play, which was equivalent to 10% of my normal play on any game.
This was a joke!!!
I then called customer service the next day to speak to a manager about this problem. He told me that there was NO COMMERCIAL being shot and the reason this problem occurred was because MILLENNIUM was in the middle of moving their operation around.
So at this point, I was thoroughly confused. I told him that the lousy free play was unacceptable, as I basically got screwed out of a win, and thus, screwed out of $$$. I was not looking for them to put that lost revenue back in my account, so I offered them a fair settlement.
I simply asked for an additional 10% tacked on to my next re-load. I thought this was fair, as did he, but he said he needed to run it past the "BOSS" to see if this was acceptable. He came back and said that nothing further could be done and that they stand behind the initial free play.
I opened an acct. with them only 2.5 weeks before this problem occurred. I found this to be a real slap in the face, considering I had already rolled over my balance 4x.
I just wanted to hear your opinions in this matter. I understand that "things" happen, but I am really disappointed in their resolution of this matter. I got two different stories from two managers during my first month with them, so even if I give them the benefit of the doubt, how can I be sure this won't happen to someone again?
Look forward to your input in this matter...thanks!
