  • Was that #33 Tony Dorsett last night?

I know this might be the wrong forum for this question, but since this is the only one I post on I thought I would throw it out here.

Why in the world did I see a Cowboy running back last night wearing #33. If Dallas has not retired his number then they should be ashamed!! Does anybody know what the deal is with this?

I'm not sure if TD's # is retired, but it should be. I suspect in preseason, with the rosters overcrowded the way they are, that even retired numbers might be used, but not in the regular season. That's just a guess, however.

      Intheknow,

Only a hardcore defensive BM like yourself would pick up on that.

Apparently nothing is sacred with the modern Cowboys. They evicted Tom Landry in a manner that said he was persona non grata. Yes, #33 RB Michael Wiley is a Dallas Cowboy.

Cowboys official policy has always been no number retirement, though their "Ring of Fame" includes the player's number.

Michael Wiley was a star running back at Monte Vista High in San Diego. I grew-up just a few miles from that high school.
