Ok, REALITY............

REALITY comes across a certain way in the forum. Some people come off much differently when they type, or email, than others. Maybe it's the caps, I don't know. But I can tell you, that if you met the guy, and then viewed his posts, you would have a much different opinion of them. Matter of fact, you would probably be rolling around on the floor, laughing your ass off.

I have a world of respect for the guy. He's stand up in every sense of the word in my opinion. Guys like him, guys that you can trust, guys that you would go to war with, are few and far in between. I'd trust him to watch my back any day. Like I said, he comes off one way in the forum, but is much different in the real world.

I don't agree with everything he posts here. I'm not crazy about the Reality-Reno battle. I've met Reno, and like Reno. He brings alot to this forum. I guess I figure Reno can handle himself just fine. It's not as if Reality is going after someone with no knowledge.

Mr Reality has admitted to me that he gets out of hand here. He attributes it to the fact that he is on vacation and has way too much idle time.

He is going back to work within the next couple of weeks. I doubt he'll be heard from much after that.

When running a forum, you hope to bring some top notch opinions and info to the forum visitors. While we may not agree with all of his posts, he does bring some very interesting opinions and bookmaking philosphies to the site. As do all of the other guys who have worked both sides of the counter. It makes for intersting discussion.

He's actually asked me to revoke his posting privlidges, which I won't do. He'll have to quit on his own.

Well put Jeff, I was hoping to be wrong about the guy, you showed this quite nicely. Reality hurry up and get back to work, it sounds like a Jekyll/Hyde personality. Sorry if I was a little over-sensitive.

I've never met REALITY or Reno but I'm sure I'd get along with both of them. They're both highly opiniated, highly knowledgable and highly funny. Too bad they strike sparks off of each other. Hate to see either one stop posting.

Not much. Maybe read a few chapters in a book or a few webpages on the net.

If that is too hard, he could socialize at the library where they teach senior citizens the dos and don'ts on living in cyberia.

As to his posts... Well, my eyes are more valuable to me than the wisdom that is in REALITY.

Jeff... maybe you could get some cgi that could convert REALITY's post into nonshoutable format. That would be a start...
We'll work on his character from there.

You don't have enough at bats(28 posts) to seriously critique a man like Reality. You just shed rookie status(Jr.)

If you don't like his style, show some respect for his industry knowledge and longevity. To quote Al Pacino, "You're out of line, Sir!"

Really, you must have many more posts here before you are 'allowed' to compose a lucid, coherent, accurate and earnest post, like you did. With the puny amount of posts that you have here, it should be obvious to you that any attempt to offer an opinion will be met with derision from others (even those who registered after you).

So get to typing, even if you have to post pompous, irrelelvant and often inaccurate tripe. Drop a few names if you have to. But make sure you only use cool monikers like "Johnny P. from back east" or "DT who used to run that shop until Mosey F. took over". Make up a few if necessary. And be sure to intimate that not only do you know every move that every syndicate is playing, but you also know their eating and sleeping schedule.

*That* is the way to gain respect here. If you post it, respect will follow. Words to live by, Mr. Humble. But until then, please refrain from posting anything halfway reasonable.

HAVING JUST ARRIVED I SUGGEST YOU GO IN REALITY'S BIO AND RING UP HIS PREVIOUS POSTS AND SEE HIS ORIGINAL INTENTION IN POSTING.

IT WAS MY INTENTION TO HELP FIRST TIME POSTERS WITH THE MOST TRIVIAL QUESTIONS.

TO GIVE A PERSPECTIVE FROM BOTH SIDES OF THE COUNTER FOR THOSE WHO MIGHT BE INTERESTED.

ALONG THE WAY I WAS UNFORTUNATELY SIDE TRACKED.

IT STARTED WITH RENO POSTING PEOPLES REAL NAMES IN THIS FORUM.

THEN THE GREAT RENO TOLD ME I DIDN'T KNOW HOW TO SCALP.

MY PROFESSIONAL ETHICS,INTEGRITY,AND EXPERTISE WERE PUT IN QUESTION IN REGARDS TO A COMMENT I MADE REGARDING ONE OF THE LEGENDS IN THE OFF-SHORE BUSINESS.

A LONG TIME POSTER SOUGHT TO TURN MY WORDS AROUND AND TRY TO MAKE IT APPEAR THE COMPANY WAS IN FINANCIAL TROUBLE.

THIS IN THE HOPE THAT THE INDIVIDUAL IN QUESTION WOULD THROW ME UNDER THE BUS.

AN EVENT WHICH DID NOT COME TO PASS.

MY PROBLEM IS I AM TENACIOUS AND THE PRIDE I HAVE IN MYSELF PERSONALLY AND THE QUALITY OF MY WORK DOSEN'T ALLOW ME TO HAVE SOME WANNABE HIDE BEHIND A USERNAME AND COMPUTER AND TRY TO UNDERMINE MY KNOWLEDGE AND CERTAINLY MY CHARACTER.

THAT IS WHAT I TRULY ADMIRED ABOUT A POSTER HERE BY THE NAME OF DEVIL.

HE NEVER ALLOWED HIMSELF TO DRAWN IN EMOTIONALLY.

HE LET INSULTS AND THE MOST UNFAVORABLE POSTS ROLL OFF HIS BACK LIKE WATER ON A DUCK.

THEN RESPONDED AS INTELLECTUALLY AS A COLLEGE PROFESSOR.

WHAT REALLY AMAZED ME WAS HE WAS TENACIOUS IF NOT MORE THAN MYSELF.

I'M THIN SKINNED.

GO BACK AND LOOK WHO FIRED THE FIRST SALVO IN THE MAJORITY OF THE PISSING CONTESTS I ALLOWED MYSELF TO GET INVOLVED IN.

Nice to hear from a man with such vast jurisdiction. You seem to be the Welcome Wagon for more than one site.

You write very eloquently and seem to get your passes across with finesse.

Weren't you a famous qb for the Miami Hurricanes? God, you were good. However, your game fizzled really fast when you got really SLOW.

I apologize in advance if I have the wrong Kosar. Geography sometimes confuses me. Ya know, Route 95 and 75 are just scalp #s.

I do not understand your response.

You know REALITY and he is a great man. OK, no questions about that. But what difference does it make?!

He came here and in several days opened a thread "Pathetic MLS". Together with MLS they filled this forum with garbage for several days. Then REALITY posted an apology and retired.

Then REALITY came again. I guess in no more than two days he opened a thread "AussieVamp2 give it a rest". The only difference was that AV2 is much calmer than MLS is.

At some point REALITY posted in almost every thread in the forum something like "GOOD MOURNING RENO" and some ridiculous challenge.

Don't you think that all these facts show total disrespect that REALITY has to all BW readers and you as Administrator?

Who else in this forum may be allowed to do everything that REALITY did?

And now you are saying that he will be gone in about two weeks so just be patient.

Very strange to say the least.

They(Reality, Phantom et al) were reacting or overreacting to a long established credo "Don't kick a man when he's down". A posters careless show of disrepect was what they were strongly protesting. Everything they believed in since early on was compromised. The forces with Reality were the Lennox Lewis' of the industry.

I have not said that you didn't write anything interesting. You did. And I got a lot of new information from some of your posts. Thank you for that.

My point is that everybody should be treated equally (of course Jeff may disagree). And it is obvious for me that you are some kind of exception for the rules applied for the others.
