      Auspice...

You raise some interesting points in your post, however, it is yet to be seen how this one particular issue (abortion) will play out in the national elections this fall. From what I gather, it is not the biggest isssue on the minds of most voters. Of course, the single issue pro-life voter will be invariably drawn to the Bush/Cheney ticket, I gather that the average "soccer mom" voter is probably more interested in what the candidates have to offer regarding education, health care, crime control, etc. These seem to be the hot button issues this time around. If a candidacy is measured solely on the abortion isssue, then the lines have been clearly drawn. I just don't think the majority of the electorate is as enabored by that particular issue as they once were. Just my humble opinion.

        to Bette Midler:

You're probably right. I'm almost always wrong when it comes to politics, college football and women.

          to railbird:

Might you have had the unfortunate accident of birth to be here in the buckeye state surrounded by sniffling, plodding, slug-minded bengal fans?

Gore was down double digets and still fading. He selects a running mate and imeadiatly he gets a bump in the polls. This tells me Gore is a loser...Scotty

Gore should have picked Nader,Bush plays tennis and golf and will get the sportfans and former drill team members.

California is the only state that matters,no prez has lost it.I think George w.gets more young voters than his dad,and will be a close win.
