  • best book to watch football?

    Vegas Experts,

I was wondering which sportsbook in Vegas is the best for watching NFL games.

I'm going out there for a football weekend in Nov or Dec and want to know where to go to watch the games.

I've been to the Mirage a few years ago and that was nice. Any other suggestions???

    Thanks,
    Rocket

Caesar's Palace is way cool if you can handle the screaming. Make sure you get there early to get a seat though.

Without a doubt-The Bellagio is the best.

The Bellagio has fantastic, unmatched chairs. But my favorite venue for watching sports is the Venetian. If you want an old-time Vegas experience, check-out the El Cortez. You might run into Doggie Style or Ronbets. Seriously, I can't stand the El Cortez.

I always liked the Mirage. Why? During the action, I'd take a break and have some pasta at their nearby Cal.Pizza Kitchen and would always know the score without missing a bite. When the crowd was raucous, the favorites were winning or scoring. Silence meant the Dogs were golden.

I know it is iff the beaten path but check out the book at The Resort at Summerlin. They have nice leather couches, an awesome buffet, and I am pretty sure they have free shuttle service to the strip. The whole place is very nice.

Skeptic, I live right down the street from the Resort at Summerlin--which has changed its name to the The Regent--and I go there several times a week because it is so close.

In my opinion, the place sucks. I would not recommend it to anyone as a decent venue for watching sports. The big screen monitors are not real clear, and they are placed too high.
You have to uncomfrotably crane your neck to watch.

                Skeptic,

Agree, but the Regent is too classy for locals joint. The problem with viewing sports there is the whiplash effect with the small elevated tvs. Try the Italian restaurant there, very good. Speidinis.

Reno is right. The best place to watch a game is The Venetian. The only problem is they only have three screens.

Max, the Stardust is poor, and the Hilton is utterly awful. The big screens in the Hilton are so dated and have such poor resolution, it is pathetic. If you enjoy murky images that leave much of the game to your imagination, you will surely appreciate the Hilton. And if you're losing a bet, be sure to ask sportsbook manager Art Manteris to cheer you up. That experience alone makes the Hilton a wonderful place to watch the games.

                          Reno,
I left Vegas right before the Paris opened. I know they were supposed to have the same large screens as The Venetian. Is their setup very good?

SUPERCROOKIE has moved his base of operation
                            down to C.P., I believe.
BTW, if RICHIE B takes over the
                            MGM/MIRAGE operation, see how aggressive
he gets with AM sitting next store at C.P.

On my annual trip to Vegas, I always watch the Sunday Football at The Imperial Palace Ball Room. Lots of giant screens, lots of space. I've enjoyed watching MNF at The Stratosphere SportsBook.
