The time delay to complete transactions with this card has been unacceptable. If they went so far as to invest a lot of money in this system, then it should be an improvement, as far as the user is concerned, over MC/Visa. After making transactions, it claims give them 5-10 minutes to complete transaction. This is similar to the response you get after using a CC, only Iv'e never waited ten minutes for a CC transaction to get in my account. I wanted to use PayPal to put more money on my card but no the transaction just sits there in pending. So I tried to put what was on there to Dunes. Still pending and Dunes hasn't seen it. This is 45 minutes plus. Please Neteller, we like the idea, but hey I want money in my account and it ain't workin. This is a bummer.

I got mine in the mail this past week, but so far have only played with it. It does seem like a good concept - basically the ability to "wire" money back and forth yourself without fees.

It does appear that there are built-in delays in the system, specifically when you are trying to transfer money onto your NETeller card and when you are trying to withdraw money from the card. Each of these processes takes a few days, I think.

Since there is no interest paid on user balances, I can't see keeping much money on the card. Therefore I will always be wanting to move any withdrawals from the card to my bank account. And then when I want to make a deposit, the process takes a few days.

I suppose the only way to make these transactions really quick is to keep a considerable amount of money on the card.

Transfers, on the other hand, should be very quick since moving from merchant to card to merchant is presumably minutes.

I'll share more experiences after I've actually used it.
