  • List of sites that reject US residency

Does BW keep a track of those online sites around the world which will not accept bets from US residents???

For example www.betzone.com (Isle of Man) will not accept US residences, nor will the online credit card transactions be accepted because they originate from US banks, nor will they accept Western Union originating in the US...

Do US players avoid these shops? Or are there some strategies which are used???

I just inquired at Ladbrokes and was told that they are not accepting US customers for now.

Fedya, I think it would be a really BAD idea to try and circumvent a sportsbooks rules in this regard. There may be legal risks for both the player and the book. And I could easily see a book voiding any winnings a player might have if they found out.

Is this an Offshore English problem??? - Isle of Man, Gibraltar etc Or is the Caribbean involved in this as well...

Why do I smell a fish with the US flexing its muscles by threating other countries not to take my Credit Card transactions????

      Anybody else affected out there?

Don't know about Betzone, but Ladbrokes has business interests in the US they need to protect.

Intertops will not take Nevada customers. I did not know that they were concerned with Nevada state law, being in the Caribe.

            Not exclusive to the UK.
Centrebet in Ausralia stopped accepting bets from US customers a couple of years ago, also because of business holdings in US.

Fedya, I had an account there and didn't bother trying to get back in. I think most US bettors feel there are plenty of rock-solid books out there to take such a risk.

Feyda, it is just the people that own these places and make all the money want to be able to go to Disneyworld.

                  Segundo,

I bet Intertops just has that internal rule to avoid opening accounts for wise guys (No evidence for this ... it's just a guess on my part)

BW has been silent on this topic and I would like a response...

This site causes waves, whether it be for punters or for the bookie!

If sites advertise on BettorsWorld - Which is located in the US and then do not accept business transactions from US residents - Then I would like to see in their advertisement a disclaimer that "US residents not accepted!"
