  • Credit Card problems at Carib, WSEX

It seems as though Carib and WSEX both implement the cash advance instead of a regular charge to both Visa and Mastercard. I know, because I have tried unsuccessfully for the past hour at depositing funds into either account, because my cash advance limit is absurdly low. Easybets and Sportsinteraction, my other two books, charge my credit card and don't try to use the cash advance. In fact, Carib is charging me $1 to "Lottery Tickets" every time an attempt fails (three so far on one card, 1 on another). I will be disputing these charges when I get my statements next month. I am very upset, because no one should be doing a cash advance to get funds.

Can you guys please help me and tell me a good, honest sportsbook, that doesn't try to do a cash advance, and just debits your credit card. Thanks in advance.

Books would rather have the cash advance because if your card pays cash yuou can't dispute the charge later. Merchandise can be disputed once the bill is presented to you. It's the reason your card charges you the extra juice on the cash advance.
I might be wrong, but that's the way it has always been explained to me.

I had never experienced the cash advance situation with Easybets or Sports Interaction. If that was the case, I would have never started sports betting online, because my cash advance limits are ridiculously low. If any of you guys know of a book that will do a regular debit on a credit card please let me know. Thanks.

Pablo, I've been told by many different sportsbooks that they don't control whether the charge shows up as cash or merchandise. Your bank determines that.

I believe this is true, because I've use two different cards and seen one of each (one purchase, one cash advance) at the same book.

The best way to avoid these excessive charges from your bank is to use a debit card, instead of a credit card. The daily limits may be less, but it should cure the problem.

I simply cannot understand why people do not use VISA check cards.

They are free at most banks; no fees; and the daily limit is up to $5000/day.
