BTH, that's funny. But you're right, the classy response would be to pay the full balance the next day, and congratulate the player on being a winner, and then tell him that he's just too sharp for them.

Bowmans hates winners. Thats why they put you hold for 5 min for approval. Why they have such low limits. Why they can take take several weeks for payouts. They need to take some lessons from WWTS, Skybook, Aces Gold, Grand Central, and many of the other fine books out there on how to run a book.

As a former bettor of Bowmans, I echo the comments of all the bettors fed up with them. The worst part is how they like to come on these message boards and act all BIG and PROFESSIONAL and then they can't back it up with a solid running operation.

RE Bowman's following comment: In closing, Bowmans would like to add that we acknowledge the intelligence of some of the responses in this thread.

I found it funny that one of the only people defending Bowmans was NHB and he claims to not even have an account there. I guess Bowmans was correct in calling him intelligent :-)

What do you mean by that, Prime?

Why even consider using a book with a 20-cent baseball line?

Primetime was referring that you were intelligent not to have an account there....

Mr. Miller, you have a link to Bowman's at the bottom of the homepage of your website; it's pretty inconspicuous but it's there, nevertheless. Have you considered removing it from your page, amidst recent - and prior, for that matter - controversy and criticisms, or do you feel that you would be prematurely judging Bowman's if you did this?

                    JR,

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't Bowmans exactly what you use to get odds for your newsletter?

For the record I "finally" got paid by Bowmans ... took a month for the bank wire ($50 fee) but I am so very grateful to Bowmans for deciding to pay me afterall ...

Bowmans sure showed me who was boss!
