  • Stiffed by Bowmans!!

On June 6th I asked for and received a $9000 payout from Bowmans.

Then, fed up with their ridiculous limits, on June 26th I requested $7000 of my remaining balance of be wired. The wire fee was $50.

A few days later I complained on this site that they had a ridiculous limit on Tiger Woods of $17 (true, a supervisor offered to raise the limit to $70 - wow!!).

Apparently in response to that "rant" Bowmans has retaliated ...

Now 28 days later no $7000 wire. And, guess what, my remaing balance of about $1500 is GONE!!

Called Bowmans and got, "Don't know anything and no one here can talk to you - call back later ..."

Not a single E-mail giving me the curtesy of informing me my account was closed (I can only assume) and what would happen to my balance ...

Monday morning I will be lodging a formal complaint against Bowmans at wherever they are licensed (England and some island I assume).

MLS, since Bowman's is a Bettorsworld advertiser, Jeff can function as an intermediary for you. When I had a problem with Easybets early last baseball season, he
    interceded on my behalf.

They must pay and chances are they will, but there is a lesson to be learned here.

I feel a sportsbook can let you bet whatever they say...that is their right whether that is seventy dollars or ten dimes. To come on this forum and blast a book for that is only going to get you problems. Especially, when you had just asked for a wire. What did you expect that you would be the first wire out after you hammered them on this forum?
You sounded a little pious, with the attitude of either they accept my big wager or it isn't worth my time.

I'm DEFINITELY NOT CONDONING the stiff job, but these people have feelings also and I guess that is the lesson.

I make you a decent sized favorite to get your money, but it sounds like you are going to go through a little hell first, best wishes

NHB- If this book had always been like that I would agree with you but Bowmans used to be the elite of the offshore world and has obviously fallen on bad times. They have either limited or put all there high limit players on wise guy lines and I was personally told by there new manager " Stop the bad post on bettorsworld or else"

I will give Bowmans a few days to pay mls or respond but if they don't my single solitary job will be to let all the forums I can about the shenanigan's going on at Bowmans.

Yes! that is correct Mr. Daniels I don't usually start negative post about Bowmans I just add to them but I will go to the 12 different boards I know of and start new threads about Bowmans and being football season is right around the corner I am sure players will want to know about the problems abroad....

If they have fallen on hard times then more the reason to limit wiseguys. I mean they are trying to run a business. That quote you stated is rather troublesome. Looks like a post from Bowmans is in order here to get this straighten out. I don't use them and have heard decent things about them up until now.

You have the floor Mr. Bowman!

At least Bowman's threats are honored: To Krackman, "Stop the bad posts on Bettorsworld or else ..." Now we know what the "or else" is.

If I post a negative rant against WWTS, WSEX, or any of the 20 or so standup books, would they charge me $50 for a wire withdrawal and then delay it almost ONE MONTH?? Of course not ... no honorable book would, period.

So to answer NHB, "No, I did not expect such retaliation." Withholding $7000 for a month is out and and out stealing interest, period.

Should I have expected Bowmans to be honorable ... OK, I agree, of course not ...

Bowmans is showing a total disregard for the larger player.. It appears that they are trying to build a business of dollar and two dollar players.

Outside of not paying MLS there have been very few negative posts (outside of them throwing out sharps and lowering limits).

Bowmans once a giant is now turning into a mom and pop store.

I think I'll have to search a little harder, I only know of six posting forums..

                MLS, and Krackman
How did Bowman's know who you were? Did you tell them before hand that you were so and so on the Bettorworld's forums?

mls I think is clever enough that bookmakers might be interested in finding out

krackman I think has a nickname related to his name from memory.......

                        Dear MLS

                        These are the facts.

You were advised by our Customer Service Department on the 19th, that the problem with your wire transfer was found by our Accounts Team, and, that the funds should be in your bank shortly. Let it also be known that your remaining balance was added to the transfer, and your account with Bowman International closed.

Our company obviously does not fit your needs, so why continue this relationship?

In closing, Bowmans would like to add that we acknowledge the intelligence of some of the responses in this thread.

                        Good luck in the future.

                        Bowman International.

OK Bowmans, my wire request was made on June 26th. It is now 28 days later ...

I received 3 responses to 5 E-mails from July 3rd to July 19th regarding that wire.

Basically they all said what you just said, "Check is in the mail ..." and "you'll receive it in a day or two."

Now 28 days later I am still waiting ...
