  • Premiere problem --when is a bet a bet ???

New to the BW post forum. I have been using Premiere for about 1 yr and I have yet to have a problem until last week. I tried to place a bet over the web and when i hit the continue screen ..it told me my acct was busy and my options were either "try again" or "cancel wager" I hit cxcl wager and thought nothing of it. I logged in the next morning and there the bet was and the money out of the account. (murphys law bet was a loser) My question is when is a bet ???

My thoughts are that unless you get a confirm screen confirmation on your bet, you don't have a bet.
I wish I could give you Premiere's response but have not heardback from them for 1 week now. Any thoughts??

    Hi Juggler

It is quite unusual that your issues were not quickly dealt with by one of our customer service reps. Please give me a call at 888 221 2288 and I assure you any issues would be resolved immediately.

When something "not normal" happens, what ever the book is, it's always preferable to go and check in your "open wagers" (active bets, pending bets, unsettled bets, the term varies) to see what the system has actualy understood.

This happened to me a few times with willhill and also easybets, wsex has a nice feature where if it gets the same bet in a short time frame it warns you about the situation.

In most of all my situations, I though the bet was not in, and I wanted it fast before the line would change, so I placed it another time, and then noticed (by my balance) that the bet had went in twice. Both books accomadated me OK (they cancelled the second wager), but I called right away, was very polite and patient.

So if you have any doubt, always check your open wagers.

This same exact situation happens to me all the time at WWTS and occasionally at other books which use the same software (such as Premiere). The first time it happened at WWTS I disputed it and they cancelled the bet for me. As it continued to happen I have always made sure to check my remaining balance or the pending wagers list to see if the bet was really accepted or not (in most cases, it was).

          Eddie--

You are correct ..... i did call your cust svc today and they quickly dealt with my problem and gave me a way to check and double check to see if my wager went through.
I think the problem was I contacted your book through email and the rep mentioned your email was a bit backed up with the launch of your new Casino program

Given some of the neg posts on some other books in this forum I must say I am glad I have chose Premiere

If you guys use Easybets and a wager is in question...do NOT repost until you are 100% sure your first attempt did not go through. This happened to me almost as textbook as it did to you, but I ended up betting twice, and Easybets told me the bets would stand and they would not void it (see post: "Do *NOT* use Easybets"). Luckily for me, the team I had 2 bets on at this point won.
