Scot L., we scalpers have our own demons. Everyday I make multiple mistakes regarding when to buy and when to buy back. I have to have an opinion to take leads early, and when I'm wrong I'm not a happy camper. For example, I debated whether to lay Philly -115
when I saw -120. I didn't do it, and the game went to -137. I got a little Philly at
-120, but I blew my chance to load up at
-115. A couple of days ago when the Chisox were at Minnesota, I took a lead on them. However, when Ordonez was announced as out, the game started coming back the other way, and I got off with a negative 3-cent scalp. However, the late money came on the Chisox, and if I'd waited instead of panicking and getting off early, I could have had a 6-cent positive scalp. Because the dog won, I ended up losing $150 instead of winning $300.
Next season, I'll also be betting as well as scalping. So, I'll get the grief from both sides. And speaking of grief, the Brewers, as you predicted. lost the game.
