Good news from Sportbet and Island Casino

    Apparently the sign up bonuses for Sportbet and Island have been reduced in half, previously being cash bonuses and now being match play. This is good news?

    Moreover I find it ironic to be plugging Sportbet now as the internet site has become so slow for me as to be unusable. Over the last several days it typically takes over five minutes to simply refresh the lines. On several occasions I have been completely unable to access the lines.

      I'm just trying both for the first time, and so far have good impressions. I prefer the phones, so I can't comment on the web play speed and setup.

      Here's a suggestion that would speed up the phone process: when calling in, I give a six digit number and my initials. This should be enough to place a wager. The account password should not be necessary. The password should only be required to withdraw money, change account details, etc.

        First allow me to say that we are always running one type of promotion or another. Some offer a larger percentage than others and, yet others still are offered for a longer period of time. It all depends on your timing. As for the second part to your post, I am truly sorry to hear that you are having difficulty accessing our site and our lines. I am actually perplexed as to why you are experiencing this type of situation. We have not received any feedback from other clients that would indicate that we are having a connection problem.           Monday I put in a request for a Western Union withdrawal, I called in the afternoon to check on this as I wanted to make sure it went out Western Union, I was told I would have the senders name and control # in a little while (2 or 3 hours). Monday came and went. Tuesday I called and again was told this information would be available by noon. Noon came and went. Tuesday evening I recieved an email asking me to choose between MoneyGram and Western Union. I replied that on Monday I choose Western Union and that my account was deducted $140 for this method. Today I again called and I have been told that although you require requests by Monday, Western Union is not sent out until Wednesday! So $140 and three days to, hopefully, recieve a Western Union sometime later today??!! Thats a lot to pay and wait when other books can handle this whole situation in a few hours! Also when I called today I was told that I will have to call back at 6:00 your time to check on this. 3 days and counting Jake, $140, what's going on?
          Has anybody else had this experience and is it normal?! Thinking of pulling it all out, so everyones replies are very much appreciated!

            Thanks for letting me know about this problem and allow me to apologize for the inconvenience that you experienced. As I stated earlier in a post in this thread, we are looking to establish payouts 7 days a week. In the meantime allow me to explain how the process works right now.

            After receiving all our redemption requests, we send out a list of all clients who are supposed to be receiving Western Union payouts. Then we wait for the confirmation of those requests, along with the control number. From there the client just needs to give us a call and we will give him/her the control number. The reason that this takes so long is precisely the reason that we are looking to make a change to 7 days.

            I can tell you that Money Gram is a cheaper and faster method of payout. Those can actually be picked up on Monday evening. Maybe that is an option for you in the future. For now, rest assured, you money is on its way. In fact, if you want, call me with your account information and I will see what I can do about getting your control number to you immediately.

              Jake,

              After several painfully slow days your Sportbet site is now back to its usual speed for me. The only other site I had problems with during that time is Ibet which is now also back to speed. Should the problem recur I will phone. Thanks for your response.

              FWIW, I posted up at Sportbet and had planned on posting up at Island because of your sponsorship of contests at another site. I understand you've withdrawn the sponsorship which leads me to post up elsewhere than Island when I need a new book. I'm not complaining, just letting you know what motivates one customer/potential customer.

                Jake, any possibility of Island or Sportbet going on the Don Best Premium Feed? The Island Express Feed sucks. It is a joke. If it weren't free and I had to pay $99 per month, I'd call Dana and complain. 20 minutes after the late games went yesterday, it still had the games as open and was updating the betting lines. I opened the Island Express program on a second monitor just to see the lines for Sportbet and Island. After yesterdays experience, I won't even bother to open Island Express again until I hear that it is working okay.

                  Maybe Dana will hop in here and clear up whatever complications you experienced yesterday. I am confident that, if there were some system glitches, they will be cleared up quickly, if they are not already done.

                  As for us going on the Premium Feed, it is possible, but only time will tell. I will keep you, and everybody else, up to date with any type of major changes that we make in the coming months. Thanks a lot, Reno. I hope that clears up some of your questions. Best of luck to all!
