  • Senator Kyl Gets Nailed

It's not often I try to plug my own column, but I've got a doozy.

I wanted to wait until we launched our new site in a couple of days, but I'm afraid that the Bill might go to a vote before this new got out.

I've got the poop in Kyl... HE'S ON THE TAKE!!! And I've got documentation.

    Read about it here: http://www.covers.com/lou/index.html

Have fun with this one, guys.

Lou - you are THE MAN!

The quid pro quo between him and Viad Corp could not be more clear.

That is one hell of a research job. This really could change some people's minds about this bill. Unfortunately we only have till Monday to get this info out to the other congressmen. Speaking of whom, I wonder just how many of them have recieved money from Viad Corp.

      Pork Barrel Politics strike again.

I got my faxes out to Voinovich and Dewine and others out here in Ohio today.

This isn't '1984'. That movie represented an inhumane nightmare. No way should people's privacy be destroyed over a stuck up contradictory Republican who is on the take from gaming companies.

Oh, yeah, question, is it illegal to make death threats on.....nah, I better not.

Not a word about gaming here anymore. I think Youngstown's own Eddie Debartolo scared away the masses with his riverboat fiasco down in Louisiana. Couple that with the huge FBI sting up here several years ago, which indicted almost 60 police officers, and you know that they won't allow casinos around here.

Lou I just read your article again and I think you have a point. One other issue I would be interested in is whether Arizona would be entitled to anything if online gaming was o.k'd. Something tells me that States wouldn't be allowed to profit from online gaming (and definitely not sportsbetting), with the exception of Nevada. When the other states gave up their rights to offer sportsbetting I'm sure it applied to all betting - land based, phone or other forms of transmission.

And if Nevada is the only one that could offer online gaming then obviously it is the only one that profits and land based gamling profits of other states are hit too. Besides even if other states could offer online casinos and sportsbooks, where would most people send their money? The Mirage online, MGM online, Caesar's Palace online or the Arizona Casino??

I think you get my drift.

Nevertheless, nice article although I think it would have been better without the profanity.

P.S., your article also made it on Yahoo and About.com.

Awesome research. To bad it won't get the media coverage it deserves.
