Krackman, there are plenty of places in Vegas where you can bet a dime or two a side without hassles. I hardly ever go to the casinos/sportsbooks, but I'm sure that the MGM and Hilton, just to name a couple of books, won't hassle you for that amount. Other Vegas guys can also make recommendations in this post thread. The books aren't looking to harass tourists, just local wiseguys and messenger bettors.

Thank you ! That was my concern. I was there for March madness and my friend and I were betting max. bets at the stratosphere and they did everything but throw us out. I am going on a social visit once again and planned on playing at the Mirage properties and with all the recent heat just wanted to make sure I did not raise a red flag.Comment

Leave the cellphone in your room or car. Sporstbooks will boot you if they see or hear it. Ya know gaming regs. Know what or are looking for prior to entering book. I keep everything in my head before I get there. Frequent telephone trips tend to make limit players appear as "felonious runners." Look like a square, act like a square and move on.
Do this for an extended period of time will enable you to get free membership to the Screen Actors Guild.

Just don't walk into a Sports Book with a clipboard and a beeper or cell phone out in the open for everyone to see.
I put most of my plays in at the M.G.M. or the Barbary Coast. The Stardust is still a great place to play and most of their places are good to bet at. The Mirage places aren't that bad either as they will take a big bet and you won't hear someone crying. The Station Casinos are pretty fair also. Downtown the Las Vegas club is a little different but good. The El Cortez ain't bad and lets you parlay as many dogs as you want. Laughing at all the Idiots who chase these plays away!
I don't think any of the others are even worth walking into. Are their any others anyone thinks are O.K.
The Barbary Coast has small limits but has great overnight lines for baseball. 10 cents! $1000 sides and $500 totals. I bet the limit and half the time they didn't even move it. They also have RUN LINES the night before. The limits are higher the day of the game. They are one of the places who don't mind the Pro's.
The M.G.M. is by far the best book in Nevada. 10 cent baseball up to -200. 15 cent TOTALS and RUN LINES! During hockey they had 10 CENT LINES up to -125. Hockey totals also were 15 cent lines. I was playing up to 3 dimes on hockey games and they could care less! A GREAT BOOK!
I am a struggling actor and can do a good bum impression. No phones or beepers or clipboards. I also never have tried to play a STEAM play at these places. I would be careful if this is what you want to do. They might get pissed off.
You should have no problem if you are not playing STEAM.

First of all I go downtown about once every three months. I have gone a year straight before without ever passing Sahara.
Also I usually only bet 1 game a day and know that I can do it at the Strip Casinos without a problem. Plus I'm not interested in the STEAM plays and like to bet the openers if possible.
I want to make my bet before anything moves. I like it that way. But I will check the numbers before the games start, Because I have some how always had LUCK going against the big moves.

What's this infatuation with the Gaughan family? How in good conscience can you send a sharp fellow poster(krackman) to the bowels of Vegas to make any kind of bets? The ElCortez is unsafe for criminals.
The Coast properties don't move overnight lines when hit,huh? Either you are the biggest egg there or you're betting a half a buck per game. COAST PROPERTIES SWEAT MONEY from Michael to Jackie and reverse.
Stations Casinos fair, huh? Only outfit I know of personally that reneged on issued food comps.
