Donovan Bailey at 17-1 for the 100? C'mon, the guy just run 9.97 in his second meet of the season, which happens to be the second fastest 100 this season... He is only the defending Olympics champ for God's sake

                AYCE,
I thought Geena Davis missed out on Olympic selection for archery? Went close at the trials, but not close enough.

                Goon,
Bailey is injury-prone and needs a few more big races before he's a genuine chance. But there are only four contenders realistically - Greene, then a big gap to Boldon, Surin and Bailey. The others have no chance assuming a level playing field. And it's 16-1 by the way.

                AV,
Noticed you had advertising from OzSportsbet on one of your sites, I was referring to what was Bryan Clark's operation, based next door to DAS. They were the first to open Olympics markets.

All the swimming stuff is currently down because of the European Championships that have just finished. If Centrebet and others put the same markets back up, get on this...
They listed van Hoogenband as favourite for the sprint freestyle races (50,100m). Popov beat him in Europe and will beat him in Sydney. There are few better than Popov for doing it when it really matters, and he's practically an Aussie, having trained at the AIS in Canberra for years, despite retaining his Russian citizenship.

oh, right Boris - I should say TAB Sportsbet I guess in future

had not looked at places like that - you are right, swimming suspended, and track and field has no odds listed next to it

never look there as not online for lazies like me, and 50 buck minimum

Gentlemen, start your IV's...sorry just a little pre-olympic doping scandal humour there.

Bailey is a great bet at 16:1. A good Canadian boy, always saves his best race for the most important events. I loved it when he smoked all the Yankees in their own back yard in Atlanta, and then when we crushed their pitifull little relay team, that actually is in the top 5 moments of my life. Got that was great!

Plus get this, my buddy's girlfriend here at university was out with one of her friend's at a dance club a few years ago. Apparently her friend meets Mr. Bailey there and proceeds to take him home with her. COOL! - and this chick is hot so way to go Donovan.

                      Popov wins Euro crown
                      News Interactive
HELSINKI: Alexander Popov of Russia won the men's 50m freestyle title at the European championships here overnight, finishing ahead of Pieter van den Hoogenband of the Netherlands and Italy's Lorenzo Vismara.
