Every Saturday there are 1:15 ET games on FOX-TV but the first pitch is usually around 1:25. Why does MLB keep posting the wrong start time? A lot of books take the games down at 1:15.

This problem will last forever. But why would this effect a good solid book? Today every game is on Direct TV or on satellite TV. These baseball games are the easiest to get.
I would think that if a book didn't have these games on TV they must not be that solid. They must be cutting corners and are saving their money. Keeping the games open till the first pitch is a CUSTOMER SERVICE policy 100% per cent.
There is nothing worse than SEEING a game start on TV and you need to make a bet (straight-up gambling bet) and your book says that the game has started. You are still watching the pregame and the book says it's gone!

Problem with FOX is in my area we were forced to watch the entire Cubs blowout of Sox. FOX refused to do smart thing and switch over to a good 3-2 Yankees-Mets game. Boo FOX.Comment

Walleyek, They had to keep it on so everyone who had already been screwed by the Whitesox could also watch themselves get screwed out of the under in the 9th.
Let's see. CSOX 17-2 last 19 road. 8-0 on the road with Baldwin by a combined 37-10 score.(AVG. Final about 4-1). Cubs 4-13 last 17, 1-4 home with Leiber with only 24 runs scored in those games. Cubs last 21 home=16 unders.And people wonder why there are bookies.

to shifty: direct t.v. is only offered in the continental u.s......there are lots of solid books that don't have total access to all the baseball games....Comment

To avoid this problem try getting your bet in before the scheduled start time. Why does everyone wait for the last minute.Comment

This happens every Saturday. Today Don Best changed the start time on the Mets-Yanks to 1:10....game started at 1:21. I don't blame Don Best. There is just a lack of communication between FOX-TV & MLB.Comment
