Kallai, 67, rides to more Derby glory
There must be an age at which jockeys can no longer ride, but Paul Kallai has not reached it—and he is 67. Kallai, who spent part of his riding career in the United States and also boxed professionally, won his third Magyar Derby on Rodrigo at Kincsem Park, Budapest, on Sunday.
Rodrigo, who is undefeated in four races this year, scored by a length and a half and six lengths from the stablemates Akito and Amor. He won in 2min 28.7sec, the second fastest time in 78 runnings of the Classic.
