I thought you said that you were a consultant? If that's true then should you not be recommending to your boss what to do with these players that you profess to know so well?

WHY DO YOU PRO'S ALWAYS TELL BM'S THAT IF THEY DON'T TAKE SHARPS AND WISEGUYS THAT THEY ONLY DEAL TO SUCKERS. IF THE PRO'S OF THIS FORUM THINK THERE ARE ONLY TWO TYPES OF PLAYERS, WISEGUYS AND SQUARES, YOU NEED TO WAKE UP! THERE ARE MANY DIFFERENT TYPES OF PLAYERS.

How can you do it Reality.
I had this argument with Lance before. I only speak for myself not our book, but wiseguys are a very small percentage of total players and total volume. Why do you guys think that a BM is not knowledgeble or scared if he doesn't deal to pro's. Can't you aknowledge that we can make more money dealing to the general public only, and not professionals.
And if so, why should we deal to the pro's.
From a purely business standpoint.
The only reason we book pro's is that we won't fire someone for winning or playing. As long as you're a fair-sized store and word gets around you always pay the pro's find you and we deal with that. I just don't like it.

Someone used the stock market as an analogy earlier in this thread. When the trade hits the exchange the broker trys to get you the best price possible. Thus some tickets end up on the pacific exchange, cincinnati exchange,philly exchange etc etc.....

The analogy is the same here for example if you like cincy today over milwaukee and you see:

Book A cincy -117
Book B cincy -125
Book C cincy -112
Book D cincy -119
Book E cincy -115

Where are you going to go, obviously book C at -112 perhaps you also go to book b and take back + 115.....

To me there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. Shops post #'s in hope s of balancing the books and cleaning up on the juice.

If I was a book runner, i wouldn't care who bet what if I Could balance the action....

These shops that boot out players because they win too much is bogus, and why are they winning so much....

I laugh when I read the player beat the book to the #.... Who's fault is that....

Store A says I will sell you this product at this price until I deem to change the price, thus how does a player know when that change will come.....

If your a shop, that uses that BS thinking, no thank you..... If I see lines moving and I like a side and a book is slow to change it's number, am I a bad guy because I got the sale price .....

Bottom line is you can't scare people into betting at the line posted, they either take it or shop elsewhere....

PErhaps someday there will be 1 centralized center where people pay someone to go get them the best price on the board irregardless of the book. This place will just be just like the stock market, you pay a commission to get what you want or you don't get it at all.

Can you see placing a limit order of cincy -110 and only get it unless the line hits that mark....

Perhaps someday we will, until then we deal with what we have.....

The people that ruin it for others are the ones that circumvent the system, a la numerous accounts to get sign up bonuses and referrals, rip off artists via bogus western unions, and the type of crap that boomer and others have pulled for public sympathy to ruin the rep of books.....

Tis my view right or wrong, you can agree or disagree thats what makes this forum what it is.....
