  • Baseball question:

Olympic has the following rules regarding listing of pitchers:

"When wagering on runlines, game totals, or team totals, both listed (advertised) pitchers must start, otherwise there is "No Action" or "Push/Cancel"

My question is does anyone know of any sportsbooks that offer "action" wagering on totals for baseball games (in other words does any sportsbook allow me to place a total wager (over/under) WITHOUT specifying both pitchers?

    If not why not?

The same question applies to runlines.

Quote/ Does any sportsbook allow me to place a total wager(o/u) without specifing both pitchers?"

    NO

WHY? Unscrupulous players or sharp players(your choice) with ballpark connections wait for a Pedro Martinez to come up lame or used as a possible last minute starter. Thats the BMs nightmare scenario. There are other obvious reasons.

Game totals, team totals and run lines are all determined by the starting pitchers.

Your going to have a lower total with Pedro than with Wakefield. You would feel pretty good if you had over 7.5 with Pedro listed then Wakefield went instead and you still had a bet. But you wouldn't be too happy if you had the under in the same scenerio.

The answer to your question is a resounding NO. If you see a book that takes action on totals or run lines, beware, they won't be in business too long.

thanks guys, this is what i thought, but somehow i seemed to remember and offshore book that allowed you to specify (list) pitchers, i guess i was either mistaken, or as Devil stated they are now out of business
