Ronbets...Sorry for the delay! The PPD's that come to mind usually involve inside help. They are easy to spot if your paying attention. Of course the inside person is history and one time the Casino went after them all ,with the GCB, because a sizeable amount was involved. It is one of the funniest things you could imagine. Fisrt of all it involves hores players so its doomed from the start. A supervisor ,writer & outside person ,a poker degenerate, were involved. It was before computers so they pre stamped a ticket and set it back in the machine to write the winner when they crossed the finish line. They finished in a photo. Now we already knew this scam was coming down and the GCB was taping the whole drama that turned out to be a comedy. The supervisor was watching and being a shield behind the ticket writer and the poker player was standing in front of the window like a customer. As I said it was a photo finish so all they had to do was make the PPD ticket a both way exacta and cash it in. Not this crew. They were waiting for the results. They were to stupid to write a Q or ex-reverse. They were in a tizzy waiting for the judges to review the photo. A little lady wanted to bet the next race and of course the outside man couldnt let her in because the set up ticket was in the machine. Little ladys that are also horse players arent little ladys when they are trying to get down. She was trying to muscle in while they were waiting for the photo.The supervisor was trying to get her to go to another window & the writer was trying to catch the results to write the ticket & get it out of his machine. This whole scene was on tape and could win a prize at Cannes. It was rolling on the floor funny. Of course the GCB arrested them and you would need Mitch Miller to lead them as they all tried to sing on each other. I wish I still had acess to that tape...Scotty

Ronbets...With the info available today and the technology to get it out there no BM should ever get PPD. Shame on him. When dealing with offshores its cloudy sometimes. We are dealing with owners who usually dont identify themselves and that makes it hard for both sides to get a fair hearing. I would deal with each case differently. It used to be that players were almost obligated to get the BM any way they could. Most players who won an injury game, bad # game or who could PP you were harmless. They had no intention of keeping the $$$. They couldnt wait to put it right back in action. Not one of them ever said "I got your money and Im quitting and Im keeping it". Of course the real thieves and whores of our business would not get paid. No action and see ya. Its not possible to handle each dispute in this way today with the Corporations running LV. They dont want to pay anyone, even legimate winners. The offshores are a different story as I stated earlier although I must say some of the offshore BM's are real gentlemen and are from the old school. They give you a fair hearing and can make a fair decision without a Corporate type looking over their shoulder. Its their own BR...Scotty
