In regards to postings to this forum on the legality and dependability of Australian sportsbooks.
This is the position of Mark Read’s Darwin All Sports (DAS), a public company listed on the Australian Stock Exchange.
DAS holds a renewable sports bookmaker’s license issued by the Northern Territory Government of Australia.
This license allows DAS to accept wagers on national and international sports and racing events.
The NT license has been renewed until June 30, 2005.
Under the NT license, DAS is required to comply with the NT Racing and Betting Act. Under that Act, the Northern Territory Racing and Gaming Commission may suspend or cancel the license in the event of breach.
DAS operates from a jurisdiction with has industry codes of practice and standards that are rigorously enforced at State and Federal level.
