    SYDNEY: Former Australian Test batsman Dean Jones said on Monday he feared for his safety if forced to name a cricketer he suspected was involved in match-fixing. Jones said he was declining to name the player because of fears of reprisal from organised crime groups involved in cricket gambling in India.

    "I don't want to be in a situation where I jeopardise the safety of my clients or my family or myself," he told Australian television.

    "You've got to be careful about what you say or do. I'll only bring up that player's name in a court of law and if I got subpoenaed."

    Jones had previously said he was approached by gambling interests during a tour of Sri Lanka and immediately informed Australian officials
