  • Roger on Premier League

Seldom do I venture into this forum, but when something gets this far out of hand it becomes time for someone to stop the bulls…t.! You will not find a harder worker and a more honest Sports Book than Eddie at Premier League. These forums are fast and becoming the "National Inquirer" of the Net. WWTS has and will continue to do transfers with Premier and any of the other Sports Books located here in Antigua. I agree if someone has been "Grabbed" by one of the "Fly by Nights" it should be shouted from the Roof Tops, but to put a "Jacket" on a book that has done no wrong is way out of line. Let the first of you that has been stiffed by Premier POST UP NOW. To the rumor mongers STOP THE BULL**** NOW!

Roger, I appreciate your posting regarding this situation with Premiere League Sports. The allegations that have been made should sicken anyone in this industry. To put a mans business and reputation on the line based on rumor and no fact is beyond my comprehension.

If one customer had stepped forward to say the they were not paid by this company then I would not waste my time replying here - but they haven't. That should speak volumes for the integrity of the man and of his company. It should also be taken onto account when establishing the integrity of the people that started the smear campaign. You be the judge.

Post Time Sports has your back Eddie.

WWTS, I know you were challenging someone to post an "I was bilked by Premiere League" story, but since you will probably not get a reply, I'll take the other side. Premiere League does payouts, especially back to credit cards, as fast, if not faster than any other book with whom I've been involved.
I hope things continually improve for this book, 'cause they deserve it. Glad to see you and Post Time show support.

From reading the other site, I believe the two moderators have a hidden agenda. They switch sides of the story very easily. Trust me I have cashed out a lot more than $284 from them and it always comes on the next day. By the way, the other site says they are against bonuses but then they right articles on the best bonus programs and award a winner. Sounds like all they care about is who's paying for advertising.

And thus far they continue to support Pa-Trick of SportsSCAMatic in his apparent soccer stiffing scandal!

I talk to hundreds of people who play offshore and I've never heard a bad word about PL.

Roger I'm sorry but I disagree with some parts of your post. I'm aware of who you are and your respected place in the gaming industry. NO ONE anywhere commands more respect than you do as a linesmaker or as a person but your perspective as someone in the business is somewhat different than mine as a player.

You being in the business feel that being an honorable person is all it's about. If a sportsbook has been as honest as abe lincoln and never stiffed anyone it should never be questioned. What more could we as players expect? I'm sure other owners of sportsbooks have the same perspective.

Don't you believe that we as players have the right to expect the sportsbooks to act in a fiduciary manner with our funds. That is depositing them as reserves on account to be returned to us if so asked immediately?

We shouldn't have to be asking ourselves if the sportsbooks will be using our funds in some other manner. It is not their money to do so.

If premiere is having financial problems, the players have a right to know. It's just that simple.

The problem in the gaming industry as it now exists is the inability of the players to rely on any outside financial statements of the sportsbooks....and without financial statements we aren't afforded the luxury of having some form of insurance at these smaller shops. Your book has insurance which places you at the front of the line for sportsbooks.

I'm sure your personal relationship with Premiere League has allowed you to become more aware of the character and honesty of the owner than we as players will ever be fortunate enough to experience...and I certainly respect you for that. But we as players, lacking financial statements and insurance have the right to question the financial positions of all sportsbooks....not just premiere. If valid questions arise about the financial strength of any sportsbooks we wish to know so as to be better able to calculate the risk/gain factor that we do everytime we post up somewhere. If we can't question the financial positions of all the various sportsbooks here in the forums, where then?

I certainly hope I haven't misconstrued your post and I certainly respect you as a person but I just simply share a different perspective.

                  Auspice,

Please remember, I was a player long before I jumped the fence. Not a very good one, I might add. I do agree that you or any player should have concerns, however, common sense should prevail. Hell if years ago someone told me of an idea where the public would send hard earned money to some Island or Country they never even heard of, I would ask them for some of what they were smoking. This site and others like it should be of great help to the player. It’s true that no sport book is going to open it’s books to you, but again common sense tells you that your money is safer with let’s say an SOS, Cris, Caribi etc, than it is with a book that promised to make your car payments and buy you a big screen T.V. when you re-up. When posting up use your head. The knowledge on the net and your gut feeling! Luck anyways,

                  Roger

P.S. Abe wasn’t all that honest, I booked him. He still owes as he bet the South.

WWTS, since when did this have to do with whether or not Eddie is a hard worker? Or about getting stiffed? As far as I know he IS a hard worker and has never stiffed anyone. But the points that have been raised have nothing to do with your defense of him. Just because PL pays does not mean that they can't have financial problems. We have a right to know about this, when and where might be an arguable topic but you did not proceed with THAT part of it.

Am I missing something, or is there a lack of evidence concerning Eddie having financial problems? Where are some facts? What is the basis of the allegations?

Even if a sportsbook is for sale--and I'm not saying Premiere League is--that means nothing. Almost everything is for sale at some price.

Also, because Antigua sportsbooks back each other and I've heard that Eddie comes from a wealthy family, why would there be any real concern at this time of anyone not getting paid?

Eddie is an out-front owner. He has revealed his last name, and everyone knows where he lives. From accounts of those who know him, he is a very honorable guy.

Maybe I'm missing something, but unless someone can present hard evidence to the contrary, I just don't see any reason for anyone to be concerned about their money at Premiere League.

And a question for the sportsbooks in Antigua, which Sting and the Shrink recently visited: What is your opinion of the "Other Site" after their attack of Premiere League?

                          Segundo

I promised I would say nothing else regarding the ludicruous allegations made, and I won't. You are right my hard work has nothing to do with the financial stability of my company. I guess what Roger was trying to point out is the post was initially made with lack of respect for the efforts and sacrifice required to build and run a successful sportsbook. I personally have have put my all into developing a sportsbook that would cater to its clients in the most professional manner. In over two years I have maintained an impecable name for this company, by treating its customers right, paying promptly and offering exceptional value. Today I have seen that name plastered in filth for sake of a story.

Premiere League's only crime was to refuse to re-advertize on the ........tion. I hold no malice to anyone who has done or said anything to tarnish my name or that of my company. I will simply ignore the existance of that site. What goes around comes around.

Since everyone is asking questions maybe I have one of my own. Their numerous postings have clearly stated that they are very well aware of the influence and financial backing that my familiy maintains on island, they also "claim" that I am a stand up guy, and that never has there been an instance of no pay by a PL customer. So why put out a story like that, unless of course there was another motive.

Like you, I maintain utmost respect for Roger & WWTS, Wanda & Postime and every wagering institution in Antigua. They both defended Premiere League because the success of any wagering institution depends on the confidence of its players. It is painful to witness that confidence which took over two years to build, be threatened by unethical ravings without fact.

                          Take care

                          Eddie

The worst case scenario is that the gossip is true - that Premier has been losing money. But to alarm players that this means trouble is really irresponsible.

Especially when we're talking about a post-up book in a place like Antigua.

{Of course I'm not a sportsbook, but I feel like offering my opinion anyway )

i have been betting with eddie from premier for over a year and have had zero problems. i have always got paid, transfers have been smooth and easy, i have never had problems getting through on the phone and i have been dealing with the same courteous clerks for some time. this should disspell all of the BS the shrink is spreading about one the hardest working guys in the industry. hopefully this thread will eliminate the bad press this small timer ken started with his off the cuff remarks.
it really does appear that ken has a grudge that should be dealt with face to face instead of in this forum where it causes irrepairable damage to one of the leaders in the industry.
