  • Premiere League financial problems

It hasn't been mentioned here, but moderators at another forum are asking questions about Premiere's financial status:

    Eddie,
I have been sitting on the sidelines, but after receiving your email this morning I feel the need to jump in now....

Thus far, instead of answering ANY of STING'S allegations, you have chosen to MOCK him (and not even truthfully)...

    Please answer the following questions...

    1) Isn't it TRUE that PREMIERE LEAGUE is virtually, if not completely BROKE?

    2) Isn't it TRUE that PREMIERE LEAGUE is being SUED by former employees to recoup UNPAID SALARIES owed to them?

    3) Isn't it TRUE that PREMIERE LEAGUE has had its phone services interrupted for not paying bills, etc????

    4) Isn't it TRUE that PREMIERE LEAGUE has been cut off with money transfers by at least ONE if not more than one other sports book due to DELINQUENCY?

    5) Isn't it TRUE that PREMIERE LEAGUE has approached MULTIPLE other books looking for a buyer?

While I will also go on the record as saying that NO GAMBLER has ever been stiffed by Premiere League, we, at The ************, cannot and will not continue to promote a sports book we believe is having some serious cash flow problems, period!

This message has been edited by THE SHRINK (edited 06-05-2000).]

Anybody have any info on this situation?

don't worry about premiere league. read roger (wwts) for clarification.

another poorly organized attempt to discredit a stalwart person and book in an effort to stir up some trouble/traffic.

when individuals feel the need to chase down someone like eddie who has PAID PAID PAID and built up a business based on customer service and honesty THOSE people should start answering some questions about themselves and their own integrity or lack theroef.

      Chance of Rain

I am happy you have posted this topic on bettorsworld because in my desire to answer the allegations, I absolutely refuse to answer the post on the other site!!!!

      Q:1 Are we broke?

Absolutely not! We are having our best year ever! Even if we were, any one of the owners of this company can bankroll Premiere League in their individual capacity. I am sure Brian and Jeff can attest to this. Unlike the Shrink they took the opportunity to spend time with me while here!

Q:2 Are we being sued by former employees due to nonpayment? Not to my knowledge, but don't take my word for it, call the labor board at 268 462 9202.

Q3 Has our phone service been interupted in the past? Sure we switched carriers a few months back for a better rate. Did we have a payment problem with the carrier? Sure there was a deposit balance question that was soon resolved and all numbers were restored.

Q4 Have we had Sportsbook transfer issues? Sure and there still remain a number of customers for whom we do not process transfers only because they have taken advantage of the process.

Q5 Have we approached other companies to buy Premiere League? Once again...... dozens of times, everytime I read a post with the allegations made above! Perhaps more so when I look at my 2 year old daughter and realize that she sees her father at best 1 hour a day all because I insist you receive the very best in customer service.

My dedication to this industry is nothing short of 110%. Shrink is upset because we chose not to advertize on his site. I guess it would be fair to say to all sportsbooks that advertize there...... be careful you may check into Hotel California!!!!!

I suggest his tactics to create hype on the ........tion at the expense of someone's reputation leaves much desire. With luck the 5 or 6 regular visitors will know better.

Sting suggests we did not pay him his $284.00. Well we do have a Western Union receipt showing his balance withdrawn. Brian or Jeff we will fax you a copy at your request. Strange however, He was on island at that time..... why didn't he just get the cash like others who have visited us? Sting withdraws the funds and has it paid in someone elses name!
$284.00....... please!!!! Oh but then he says numerous times that PL never stiffed anyone!!!! So which is it?

Thank You Roger and Wanda, for your support!

To all bettorsworld visitors, I urge you to withdraw your funds from Premiere League immediately if you question our stability. I would not have you wager with us if you are not assured you will be paid.

In leaving this forum I will say this much...... show me one unhappy Premiere League customer and I will show you 10,000 that will say otherwize.

      And that's that

      Sincerely

      Eddie Hadeed

Eddie, thanks for replying so quickly. As a small bettor, sometimes it's difficult to know who to trust in this business. But when Bettorsworld, WWTS, and Post Time all come to your defense, that's good enough for me. Come football season, I'll be considering Premiere.

Unless someone has really solid evidence, it is not right to publicly deny the solidity of a sportsbook.

For example, I have heard allegations and rumors about the financial status of certain books, and I would never post that information in this forum without real strong evidence.

A few months back, Sting questioned the solidity of Margarita. And someone else who is well know in the industry had doubts about this book. Well, a long-time, super-trustworthy agent in Vegas is close friends with the owner of Margarita, and he was willing to vouch for the owner and completely guarantee this book to a friend of mine. I have complete faith in this agent. If he says Margarita is solid, they are solid.

It is one thing to criticize a book for low limits, "clone" numbers, or poor customer service, but before someone publicly questions a book's solvency, they should be very sure of their information.

This situation is ridiculous!!! I've been away from the forum for awhile because I had to bein the hospital having surgery, but I have to speak up and defend Eddie/Premiere League from this terrible slander.

As someone who is both a player who bets offshore and a publisher who accepts advertisements from several sportsbooks, I can tell you that Eddie and Premiere League are rock solid. This guy is extremely honorable and I would defy anyone to step forward and claim that they were stiffed.

One of the problems with the internet is that anyone can say anything with no fear of the consequences to themselves. While I love the freedom of the "Net", this is one of those awful cases where a good person and his fine business are slandered by someone with a personal vendetta. That's why it's so important, that people like myself who know better step forward to defend a guy like Eddie, who is strictly top shelf.

Eddie, I'm so sorry that you're having to deal with B.S. like this, you deserve better. I haven't talked to you in quite some time because I was out with my surgery and you've been dealing with my father, but if there's anything else I can do for you, please give me a call in my office.

Eddie- Would you mind elaborating on the sports book transfer issue? What did the players do to take advantage of the situation? In my experiences it is tough to see how a player would take advantage of the situation as they are at the mercy of the book to do the transaction.

                Here are some examples.

There are a few customers who wish to scalp games between books but they never quite seem to leave enough money at either one. So instead, they are sending money from book to book daily..... which becomes an absolute annoyance. Each company has its own perks that it offers to clients..... some do 10% bonuses, some do free payouts and some offer a percent back on losses etc. Well there are a number of players that will take advantage of bonuses on reloads and or payout rebates by moving the money from book to book. At the end of the day we are picking up the costs one way or another and the players are still getting the juice.

                  MarkDel AKA Mark Gunn,
Nice to hear from you. I am amazed that you would come on here and say that you publish & print GamePlan Magazine. While your dad is an honorable fellow, you continue to boast about all these books that your print. How many actually do you print now? Anyone that would post an ad in your book better be prepared to get zero leads. Your distrubution system always seems to pump out about a 20 to 1 ratio of your books versus others who print with you. You screwed all the sports services, so I guess the idea now is to go after the sportsbooks?

No book to book transfers should be paid a reload bonus. That is economic suicide. I would be very skeptical of any book that would do this.

Johnny, I agree!!!!! I can't believe that they have that policy. They will get buried in the long run. Does it become our responsibility to educate PL about this? Or should we take advantage and hope they don't go broke? This is a very good point...

JD....the only thing you said right was honorable. what is lost in this industry we are a part of is honor and loyalty. "old school".that is what Mark's family has.Game Plan has been around for over 25 years. i have placed ads in their mags for clients and always had great results. i could not let this one go by without saying something.
Mark i have spoken to your dad several times while you were out i am glad you are feeling better...talk to you on Friday.

It's fairly amusing to get ripped by Johnny DeMarco/Edens, I think it's the most sincere form of flattery I can imagine. Thanks John, now everyone on this forum will have a good impression of me. While some of the people here appreciate your solid knowledge of the offshore industry, I would imagine they have a pretty good idea of what kind of sports service you run. It's because of the way people like you operated for all of those years that the sports service business is dying these days.

Everyone please note that DeMarco made an attack on me without me saying a single word about him, which is a real shame that so much of that nonsense goes on here in what is supposed to be a productive forum.

                            Big Hands,

Thanks for what you said. I am feeling a lot better, but still feeling awfully weak. They ended up having to cut out about two feet of intestines to get out all the tumors, but the long term prognosis is for a full recovery. I'll talk to you Friday.
