Well, everyone seems unsure of boomers motives here. Many feel that he has either lied or told some incorrect information in the forum in an attempt to further his own agenda.
Well let me say this about that. I remember when Boomer was bashing Action Sports, nailing them to the cross, I on the other hand just sat here being as nice as nice could be to those wonderful people at Action Sports, in the hopes of me collecting my $11,600 which was owed to(still to this day uncollected). Well folks, that was 11 grand and change at stake, to get it, I probably would have told the scumbab that he is a more honorable man than the pope, look its a large sum to me. Now multiply that by aprox 10, I would have been tucking the scum in bed at night and reading him a bed time story, anything to get MY CASH. I just wonder what the other members would doo if its them on them hook for that kind of change.
As far as Boomer owing the other books, your right,he owes not the books that owe him. But he also addressed that issue by stating whatever happened, they would get the money,
enough said on that topic.
I think Boomers orginal post was meant as just a warning to the rest of us, to tread lightly and will take it as such, nothing more, nothing less.

Thor, I understand what you're saying. Needless to say everyone has to look out for themselves. However it seems pretty clear that this situation is somewhat different than the Action Sports one. What has irked some of the members here IMO is the sense of disappointment in Boomer. His voice carried more weight here than many others, because most people look for shortcuts to the answers, most people equate betting big with being wise etc. etc. Obviously that's a mistake. And like you said he's just trying to do what he needs to do to get his money. When all this blows over, perhaps we'll all be spared from hearing how this or that place is as good as gold or some other assinine statements like that. And perhaps people will do their own due diligence and depend less on what so and so says. But then who am I kidding?

First of all, you and I have had our differences. I hope you collect all your money. Do you remember when you got mad at me when I said something questionable (in your opinion) about the Dunes? Were they into you for big money too? I go back to my orignal thinking that all these offshore places that offer these ridiculous bonuses will screw everyone in the end. These places that screwed you probably owed you more money than anyone else. So they figure, Boomer is one guy, we'll screw him and keep everybody else happy. It is all a numbers game. I heard a story today about you where you had trouble collecting from a book, then you finally got paid and then promptly sent them more money with a promise you would not withdraw your money for 60 days if they added 30 percent to your money. What is that?

I feel badly for BOOMERS horrible problem being owed all this money, and everyone who knows me from these forums knows I have no love for the bookmakers. BOOMER has always seemed to carry large built in respect here because he is a heavy hitter, and a certain amount of respect from us average peons goes out to anyone who can gamble successfully and appear to make a nice living at it. When I bet, I'm talking $quarters, $50's and $$hundreds of "little dollars"----not five and ten $$$dimes a pop. BOOMER throws "dimes" around like my grandkids toss cherios around at the breakfast table. Thats fine though because that is the league that BOOMER is in. As a small time square I'm exactly where I wan't to be.

My problem with the man is very simple. Five days ago on this very forum-----BOOMER gave a very strong endorsement to Unified Gaming as being solid payers and never knowing of anyone who didn't get paid. At that moment he himself was being stiffed by that very same outfit for a hundred dimes!

Why did he do this? bOOMER'S agenda ? Maybe to get in "brownie points" with Unified Gaming's main man who was stiffing him on the hopes it would help his getting paid. Maybe looking for Unified Gaming to pump up their post-up coffers through his endorsment to get himself a better shot at getting paid with little concern to the people that he was inviting into a potentially perilous situation. Maybe he was also trying to remind Unified Gaming that he could praise and endorse them, but also had the means to destroy them if necessary! I have no problem with BOOMER using this forum as a "tool" to get paid. I do, however, have a problem with readers of this forum that may have wound up sending money to one of those 3 books that came under BOOMERS broad endorsement of Unified Gaming while he himself couldn't collect the large sum of money that he was being beaten out of. Maybe BOOMER was drunk again and forgot what he posted just a few days earlier. He may have forgotten what he said just 3 days earlier, but some of us didn't. I took notice of BOOMER'S positive remark about UG being rexcellent payers and I swear I was planning on checking into exactly what books represented Unified Gaming. In fact---if I hadn't gotten distracted by unannounced company, I was going to post a message to the forum asking BOOMER if he'd be kind enough to mention which Unified Gaming books he's had personal experience with. I wonder what his reply would have beem?

Despite this-----I sincerely hope BOOMER gets his loot. If he doesn't it puts another big hurt on off-shore book-making industry. I just would never want to be fast asleep on a sinking rowboat with BOOMER-----even if it had 2 life preservors. When the rising water finally woke me up, I'd probably be watching good ole BOOMER bobbing on the horizon, while I'd be looking for my missing flotation device.

Dot, there were a couple of opportunities today on the Lakers/Blazers. I'm sure there were many dimes bet on the moneyline by individuals here....present company included perhaps. There were a couple of places that had the Lakers -235 and others had Portland +240. However in many ways you would be a bigger player with a $20 bet.....as none of the players on the above scenario are risking anything. I know you know this, and I have no doubt that there are some very large bets going on that, are shall we say unhedged, but its important to make the differentiation here. Good post, by the way.

First to Boomer: I am very sorry to hear about your dilema. I hope you get all you have coming. One question though - Weren't you the one, on this forum last year, who would post up anywhere to get a ridiculous bonus offer? Even when posters here would try to warn you about the old adage "sounds too good to be true". I recall you, in my opinion, would send dough to practically any Johnny-come-lately sportsbooks offshore with a outrageous bonus promotion. This type of 'bonus whore' mentality where greed superceeds sound judgement can lead to exactly your predicament. I must be lucky in that I have 3 offshore accounts and I have never gotten stiffed. Knock on wood!, but I do my research and only send money to outfits that pass my scrutiny. Caveat emptor!!! Many of these guys who stiff their customers just relocate with a new name and grander bonus scheme to lure suckers in for the next round. I hope like hell you get your money back but there is a lesson to be learned here for all.

I think if someone won't pay, then you should just fly down to whatever country they are based out of and talk to them person to person. Maybe they won't be so quick to stiff you. I would think for 100 dimes its worth a try.

Dot, good points. I also hope Boomer is paid, and it is also a shame that he now has to hear all the negative posts from us.

But opinions have to be told. I was just thinking about WHY it is that we have Bettorsworld and this posting forum: to steer players to solid books that pay. Boomer is certainly a mainline poster here, and he has his whold bankroll in books most of us have never even heard of.

Have to really advise against traveling to some distant shore or island to insist on getting get paid face to face.

You may never be alive to spend your money. If someone owes you enough they may deem it the perfect time to feed you to the sharks.
