Here’s the case:
I’m a small bettor ($50-100) and bet mostly on Auto Racing. On Wednesday, I bet $50 on a NASCAR Busch series Carquest 300 matchup (race runs 5/27/2000) at www.sportsbetting.com . I took Matt Kenseth to beat Michael Waltrip. Felling confident, I added another $50 wager on that same prop Friday Morning. Come Friday afternoon, Waltrip had crashed and would not be starting the race.
I E-mailed sportsbetting.com to inform them of the case and tell that they had the wager still listed as available on their selections. Their response for my favor? To tell me that I had lost my wagers placed on Kenseth over Waltrip because Waltrip did not qualify! I can understand declaring the bet to not have any action and give to a refund but to declare that I lost because the driver I bet AGAINST did not qualify is beyond any logic I can comprehend. Then, to make matters worse, they are as I write this, still taking wagers on that matchup. Anyone who is not aware that Waltrip has not qualified will instantly lose their wager under this ruling.
This is the equivalent of knowing that a baseball game has been rained out, declaring both sides a loser and then still taking wagers on game in which they’ve declared that both sides have lost.
Thanks for listening all as I had to get this off my chest. When all my pending wagers are settled over the weekend, I'm done with this scam. Fortunately, all the money I'm playing with now is theirs so it doesn’t hurt as bad but I'm still p@ssed.
