Art was apprehended late last night 5/18 on a farm raided by federal marshalls near Cleveland. How desperate is this govt. to charge him with money laundering?? Reports are that he requested a cell with another fine ex-athlete Denny McLain.

For those who want some insight into Schlichter's tragic compulsion with gambling, and how it spawned his other illegal activities, go out and buy "Pros and Cons", by Jeff Benedict and Don Yaeger, a disturbing and frightening account of criminal behavior in the NFL, and the league's unjustifiable tolerance for it. I must have cried "Holy s**t!" four or five times while reading about Schlichter, and scum like Cornelius Bennett and Corey Dillon, for that matter.
