A new (online book) was mentioned last week in BW's handicapping forum and it's name is sportsbetonline.com. They offered a free $20 wager and I started a thread here last mid-week asking whether anyone had heard of or had any dealings with them. No one who responded had, but several of the members called and asked questions, but talked to a guy who had no idea how long they were in business and it really appeared a risky proposition to do more than try the free bet. In their help and info link they state the following tidbit of info:

    >> Sports Bet Online is located 30 miles north of the US-Canada border at Kahnawake, Quebec. We are on the Kahnawake Mohawk Territory which is sovereign native land .

We offer the first legal venue for Internet Gaming in North America. This brings a tremendous advantage to our patrons:<<

I notice you mention KAHNAWAKE in your above article. Can you share with us a little more about this "exciting" happening you speak of and if this site is involved.

    Thanks.........Dot

Right now I'm putting an article together on American Wagering but I'll make sure the article on the Indian reserve is up next. I can tell you that they are hosting servers there but I'm not sure who (if anyone) is currently operating there.

I'll find out and put it in the article.

Interesting - so will the yank Feds go after the large company with stuff in Vegas that has part of Jupiter's and Centrebet too? Pretty obviously you can slip an American federal agent spy in there if you want to.

Actually Aus there was some very interesting comments made at the summit by David Rice - the Director of Licensing for the Northern Territory of Australia as well as people from Lasseters, ebet and Access Gaming Systems.

I'll make sure I have something up for you and the other Aussies in this forum.

Just stay tuned to the breaking news section in the coming weeks .
