I called in to Olympic this evening to place a wager on the NHL total this evening, but I continued to get an "all circuits are busy" message. As this continued, I though I would save time by simply logging into their web sight to make my play.
I was looking to play a couple of dimes on the hockey total, but when I attemted the wager, it got kicked back with a message stating that the limit on this play was $1500. So I played the $1500 on one ticket and would simply attempt to play the remainder on a second ticket. After my initial play of $1500, Olympic's line moved by 5c, so I would have to close the play at a less attractive price. My second attempt was rejected, however, with the message that $1500 was the total position I would be allowed on the play. I figure that once they move the line, one should be able to play it again, but no, $1500 was all I was allowed. I went to another shop and closed out my play (at a less attractive price, I might add) and then went into the rules page at Olympic, where it stated that wager limits were up to whatever one has in their account.
Well, I certainly had the funds to cover a 2 dime play AND it would have been at two different prices.
Is this Olympic's policy for everyone, or do they use discretion as to how much each player can wager online? I'm curious, because almost every other shop will let me place multiple ticket wagers on the same play with much higher limits than what Olympic restricted me to this evening. Attempts to get an answer by phone were unsuccessful, since their "all circuits are busy" message was active on all three phone numbers I attempted with them.
Has anyone else had a similar experience online with Olympic? Are their limits different for each sport?
If anyone from Olympic is out there and can help to clarify your policy regarding online limits, it would be much appreciated. If you'd like to explain in this forum, great, but if you would rather contact me by email, please ask Brian for my address.
Thanks
