Exaggerated?!

For the past month, I have been searching on the internet about all the offshore books.
With so many around now and the competition obviously pretty fierce. The one question that I have is why do alot of them say that they have been in business for over 10 years and some even more? When based on the research that I found, offshore sportsbooks really started up only about 3-5 years ago.
Am I correct on this?

Many have been around well over 10 years......CRIS, Bowmans....William Hill and Victor Chandler 50 years.......

MANY offshore books had existing businesses in the states before they went offshore, so while they may have only been offshore 3-5 years, they could very well have been in business for 20.
