  • Agents vs. 1084

I thought the USA vs. Truesdale case set precedent that agents weren't in violation of 1084 if they represent a licensed, foreign company.

Gambling is illegal in Japan. Wouldn't indicting an agent be the same thing as the Japanese Gov't indicting Steve Wynn for allowing Japanese citizens to gamble at the Mirage?

Isn't USA vs. Truesdale the main reason why legal scholars think Jay is going to win on appeal?

The only reason Jim Truesdale got off is that the federal government charged him with the wrong crime. Had he been charged with 1084 he would have lost hands down. He had a real good attorney also that helped a lot. Jim T. is on the best guys you'd ever want to meet. I'm glad he got off. He deserved it.
