I heard through the grapevine that Lloyds of LONDON is suing NASA INTERNATIONAL for a percentage of their profits for last year.
I wonder if next year they will jointly advertise as "Lloyds International Sportbook" or perhaps,"NASA of London Sports". Beton Lloyds.com would be a great URL

    Monsignor Fitz,
Your info is basically correct. Lloyds is suing NASA for false advertising. Apparently NASA is boasting that customer accounts are being insured by Lloyds.
Lloyds is supposedly working with the JD,FBI and anyone else who d listen. This is or will be public knowledge.

Fitz, do you mean Lloyds wants profits from referrals to NASA?

Indeed Big Money----Father Fitz had it backwards. Methinks the good Father was likely to be having his daily meeting with old friend Jack Daniels when he posted.

the best thing that could happen to this industry is if lloyds of london were to offer their own sport book. in fact i was told to call lloyds myself. have played with nasa since 1996.

Imagine if the Lloyd's of Curacao sports book started profiling players the way some places do. Do you think they could determine your mortality risk and rate your life insurance premiums by the type of player you are?

Lloyds of Curacao life insurance risk factors:

Steam players - risk of hypertension trying to beat everyone else to the moves.

High rollers - offer the single premium option with a high face amount.

Parlay Card Players - offer low monthly premiums with increasing benefits for each payment. Miss one payment, though, and you have to re-qualify from scratch.

Squares - Offer 10 year level term with NO renewal option. They won't need it since they'll be broke by then and can't afford the premiums.

Scalpers - Need not apply. They are no risk to loose at the book, but those Asian tours and girlie bars may kill them before the ink is dry on the contract.

                          Hmm.....

                            Bette

Very clever and maybe not too far-fetched once their actuaries enter their imput into lines, and their SPORTSBOOK division gets to underwriting.

                            Dot LOL

I'm originally from South Boston. Does that count as the south? I knew I couldn't get away with my southern accent on this message board. However ---I am still deeply connected to the heritage and traditions of the old south.
